Ha! That’s interesting. Liberace wasn’t my style, but with Damon, Douglas and Soderbergh doing it, it’ll be huge. Love Catherine Zeta-Jones.

I don’t often like biopics. Can’t seem to “suspend disbelief,” I think the expression is. Though I’ll have to wait until it’s offered by Netflix, a movie about Liberace — well, if they do him justice, it might be nice to see. He certainly was an exuberant guy, nothing less than a great entertainer. If I remember correctly, like Clay AIken’s fans, millions of women swooned over the big L.

I too am not a fan of biopics but Steven Soderbergh makes some interesting movies with some pretty interesting characters so I may be tempted to see what he does with the big L story. I do remember his tv show was very entertaining.

Anything to liberate (liberace) the male ego. Then there’s Sacha Baron Cohen…his new project is Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/26/sacha-baron-cohens-bruno_n_1295…

Ah, Liz dahling, Soderbergh should do another movie about me - without input from those ingrateful little brats!

My parents had a tempestuous relationship, that eventually ended in divorce. But I remember, when I was quite young, Liberace came to town and they went to go see him. They had a wonderful time, and were sweet as pie to each other for weeks afterward. So…I always felt like Liberace must have had some hypnotic effect as a performer. He certainly had a vibrant command of the keyboard.
