Nearly a year to the day after her disastrous performance at the 2007 MTV VMAs, Britney Spears emerged a new, confident woman last Sunday. The 26-year-old pop star, who’s lost custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline, wowed the crowd at the Video Music Awards in an appearance that’s being hailed as a "resurrection" of her career. While industry and media types are saying Britney should do a big concert to really make her comeback, I think she should act otherwise.

She needs a REAL vacation from her own life - to travel to some exotic, relaxing place where she won’t be hounded by the scum of the earth, and remember what it’s like to be alive again. Perhaps then she’ll be better equipped, emotionally and spiritually, to return to her chosen career. We Sagittarians require alone time in new places to regenerate…

Hi Liz, I agree that television would be an excellent path for Britney Spears’ career, she got very good reviews for her sit-com appearances last season. I think that Ms. Spears would be best served right now by opening herself up to being in service for others. She could take up a cause and do real charity work for one of any number of programs. Opening up and sharing herself in such a positive way could help heal her life on so many different levels.

I think Britney should take some time with her kids and living calmly out of the spotlight for a while. Hopefully a joint custody agreement can be reached. Britney has been a product since childhood - I think she just needs to be a person for a while. I was glad to see her looking well and happy on the show. I hope her road continues to be healthy and empowering.

I saw her recently on the sitcom, “How I Met Your Mother”. She was cute, but she is still so very young. I agree with Liz. A tour is too much. She needs peace and needs time to refocus. I think that the MTV awards were no surprise to her. She knew but now I fear that the public may be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
