Whoopi Goldberg on Bill O'Reilly (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

For the past two nights, Whoopi Goldberg has appeared on Fox News’s 8 PM ratings leader, "The O’Reilly Factor." The conversation between host Bill O’Reilly, the often-combative conservative pundit, and the independent-minded Whoopi made for interesting viewing. Our favorite moments? Whoopi saying to O’Reilly: "Don’t bullshit me, Bill." And Whoopi taking on O’Reilly for calling Helen Thomas a witch.

Parts one (Monday night) and two (Tuesday night), below.

Tuesday 2/17:

Okay, so I love O’Rielly and I love Whoopi. But man was I surprised at how she has such a calming effect on the guy. I liked the interviews, a lot!

Noelle…it was two great interviews….and she had thought Bill O had insulted Hilliary, and Bill called her on that…in fact Hilliary said Bill O’s interview was the best she had ever had compared to many.  I watched that interview and I was very impressed with Hilliary and I would have voted for her in the election.  I to love Bill O…he calls it as he sees it…..we need more journalists like that on tv.

I noticed that too. And there were parts where you could just see he was trying to work himself up and she would say something in her "hip, laid back, hippie way" and you could see his eyes kind of twinkle and then…..on to the next subject. Priceless!

My goodness, my friends.  Imagine if we ALL tried to listen and speak to each other with respect.

Namaste.

Whoopi was great!  It’s good hearing her talk off the view.

Gosh, Whoopi. You couldn’t have been more honest or more gracious. I guess just stating different points of view at each other without coming to fisticuffs is a good first step. Now my question is how do we get from there to a commitment to work together toward compromise and consensus?

Such a lot of credit I give to Whoopi  for engaging so skillfully with a man whose arrogance is so palpable that it practically oozes off the screen.

Whoopi deals pretty good with bullies. I couldn’t do it, he makes my skin crawl.

Bill-O was pretty mellow for him. Better than some of the ranting I’ve seen, DeB’. I still like the classic Phil Donahue/Bill O’Reilly shouting match of a few years back, though

James, have you heard about this exchange between the Mayor of Lansing and FOX news?  I just ran across this:

Yeah, Virg (verj) Bernero is quite a firebrand. He was on Fox-TV this morning. He was on CNN last week. Known as "America’s Angriest Mayor". He really stands up for the automotive industry, and the common person. He told our morning host, Walt Sorg, that he’ll announce his re-election plans soon - he’s just been really busy. Lansing City Councilwoman Carol Wood announced her intention yesterday to become the city’s first female mayor. I covered the announcement at Grace Lutheran Church.

Interviewed U-S Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., today in Lansing. He was talking to 10th-grade U.S. History honor students at Eastern High School about the stimulus plan. I grilled him afterward about the auto industry. Levin said no way would bankruptcy work, because no one would buy a vehicle not knowing whether they’d be able to get it repaired, or have their warranty honored.

Also, they can’t let the auto industry fail, because it would profoundly affect the all of manufacturing sectors.

Phyllis, I agree. Whoopi is the best and I would love to see more of her presence  on this site. She is the best at "framing" just about any subject!
