Hahaha! That was a nice little cheery moment to end this craptastic evening - thanks.

And while many people who’ve had them wished they hadn’t, I’ve ALWAYS prayed that I would have some sort of supernatural experience. Hasn’t happened yet. I guess I’m not “sensitive” enough according to the universe. *sigh* We always want what we can’t have.

Kryssi K - I understand your feeling of not being “sensitive” enough. I grew up with a mother and sister that would scare me silly. Both were bright, educated, and well read. But some of the things that happened in our lives that these two were involved in were just down right eerie. I have always wondered why I didn’t possess these same traits. I think we are all born with special talents. Some can talk to animals, some can take dead plants and bring them back to life, some are on a special wave-length with children, etc. I say this to try to explain to myself the fact that I just wasn’t ‘born’ with the talent to see beyond the vail. You and I were just born with other talents :)

when 25, on a motorcycle, in old Northampton Mass., where you can’t see poop around the corner, i was clobbered by a stop-sign runner—-i go flying 30+ feet, land hand first, see my left leg is backwards—-pointy pieces pushing on skin—-look around and see these guys playing cards, looking stunned, and fire-engines, ambulances behind—-next a guy runs up to me, saying he heard a crash—-carefully put my leg down—-told me he did the orthopedic work on the Kennedy’s Mt. Tom plane crash—-he’d make it right—-off i go to a Catholic Northampton hospital—-i had insurance, and was swiftly in the operating room—-leg in 5 pieces—-

i wake up with a cast to waist, leg up in traction—-when i soon saw the surgeon he explained i had a screw or so, but as young should recover well—-6 months in smaller cast—-but the deal is look at those coincidences—-supernatural? yep—-i’ve had a few, some, as this dramatic, others less so, but still seen—-the trick is to look—-no lookie-no see—-that crash should have killed me—-so much more—-

I love that word: “crapastic”

That was one of the few deeply moving films to deal with the subject…really capturing that liminal world between worlds. You wanna get rid of them? There are ways.

There are no ghosts, no spirts, no haunted houses. If you believe they exsist, its your imagination. If you believe you’ve seen a ghost, you haven’t. Have any of you actually seen something supernatural? Somerthing that couldn’t be explained ? Remember what I said earlier, you imagined it. Magicians cannot really levitate or walk on water. Nobody can communicate with the dead, its all a show. There may be such a thing as an out of body experienece, but it is not supernatural. I was raised a catholic, yes I believe in God. Sounds hypocritical doesn’t it? Its not. Not if you were raised a catholic. Have you ever ever asked God to help you? Then realize you only talk to God when you want something. Its human nature.

Please Frank, speak for yourself. I don’t know about anything haunted, or magicians, frankly, except in DC, but I do know of an experience with Peter Hurkos that involved my deceased younger brother (who died at 20). It was so profound that my very Catholic, X-husband, got up and went and sat on a sofa by himself across the room! At that time, he told me that he was studying, he wasn’t “with God,” but he’d tell me when he was through. Nine years later, my little son came to our room to wake me at 3:47 AM - he wanted me to know “there’s a man in my room.”

Thinking he had a dream and just needed to talk it out, we went into the living room (his room was upstairs). As he related the light that woke him up, then seeing “the man” he said he told him to “go and tell your Mom that I’m finished…” So he did! I was livid - that was just my brother not to come to me! My son had never seen my brother, but as a newborn, he had been held by my ill brother, who was dying from cancer, in a coffee shack at Marblehead. He died 6 weeks later.

Four years after his visit to my son, when I was packing things in our garage to move, my son stood watching me when I pulled out my brother’s high school photo, framed. “That’s that man, Mom” my son grabbed the frame (I had not had photos of him out - his death nearly killed me). Not knowing what he was referring to, he explained - that was the “man” who woke him up with a message for me. I knew it!

So don’t be so sure of yourself. After all, you do take a great deal “on faith”, don’t you?

Honestly, I can’t stand this type of condescending ridicule. Why devalue someone else’s (someone who IS NOT YOU and has lived ANOTHER LIFE NOT IDENTICAL TO YOURS) existential experience to satisfy your own narrow-minded subjectiveness? Those things may not exist to YOU but everyone’s Reality is different. In fact, there are plenty of people who can, will, and DO refuse the existence of your God with as much impassioned certainty as you just professed.

How is it that, in the same world where ghosts absolutely “CAN’T” exist, a virgin can give birth to a man who walks on water and turns turds into gold, etc.?

Ms. Dee

I’m with you, Kryssi. I’ve always wanted to see a ghost. I even played a ghost in a student film project, but unlike Whoopi, it didn’t open anything up. I do remember, as a very young child, believing I saw my great-grandfather…who’d just passed…standing at the end of my bed with his hat in his hand. But he didn’t say anything. So, I might’ve imagined it. Maybe those of us who believe ghosts are just part of the cosmic reality don’t need any sort of “appearance” to be convinced. I don’t know. But I don’t doubt other people who say they have had such experiences.

I like this! I am going to tell myself that every time I get sulky over my lack of sensitivities. LOL

I respect that this is your truth. It is not true for me, and for many others. My experiences hearing from people I know who had died actually got me going back to church, as life after death now made sense to me.

So, Frank.
What’s your take on gravity?
Have you experienced gravity, or does it exist only in your imagination?

Lily: Gravity exsists on the suface of this planet. When you’re above the atmosphere, there is no gravity. Its called science.

hi frank—-but gravity (G) is throughout this universe—-are you confusing G with ‘free-fall’?

Hi Frank,
It’s people like you, that should close your mouths or tell this man and 2 children, that walks around in my apartment too leave. When i moved here 6 yrs ago, I placed my things in my home like I wanted them, sometime my job would keep me away from home for a week
or so. When i would return everything would be changed, even curtains different, after a few months of this, I made the statement to the
management, that someone was coming and going in my home while I was away, so, they started having a worker to check in on my home, since i was not home often, they saw for themselves, something wa happening, so did the manager, after I had surgery, she came to visit, after i returned from the hospital, she saw the man for herself. It scared her, but I told her, he was just checking on me.
As i was healing, the 3 came and stood at the foot of my bed, was just looking as if they was trying to tell me something, but i said to them.
I pay the rent here! if you want to stay, just do not bother me or my visitors, we have to get alone, I have not seen or notice anything, turned around in my home since. But I also do a lot of praying.
