I know everthing about the Annenbergs, their ties with the Reagans. Reagans dead. I saw Powell give Congress his intelligence about Iragi WMD’s. Powell was given useless intelligence. Powell quit the Bush administartion on his own. I believe Whoopi Goldberg, like me, would’ve voted for Colin Powell if he ran for President. Like I said, Obama has $500 million to buy his way into that Jumo Jet. He used $50 million in Florida alone. The thing people want to know about Obama is, who the hell is he? Wouldn’t you like to know?

Who the hell are you? And, why do you spread right-wing propaganda? A fact—Colin Powell is not running for the POTUS, Obama is. As an AA, Colin Powell, when he aligned himself with George W. Bush, became diametrically opposed to what I believe in. The only reason he quit Bush’s administration is because he got sucker punched by Cheney and Rumsfeld. Powell was not in the inner circle, and when he found this out, it was way too late. He put his reputation on the line for the Dubya WH, and now he’s paying the price for it. What you need to do is check out all the small donations that Obama receives from people like me, and then you will know how he is able to afford what he can.

FrankM…a tutorial on Bill Ayers and Barack Obama…They met sitting on the same Foundation board…a foundation founded by Republican billioniare, publisher, diplomat, and philanthropist, Walter Annenberg. Annenberg, was a dear long time friend of Ronald Reagan. Annenberg was appointed U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James in England by Richard Nixon. A huge contributor to all things Republican, how did Annenberg’s staff at the Foundation allow a Bill Ayers to serve on that board? Also guess along with Obama and Ayers how many Republicans also serve on the Annenberg Foundation board? So how is it that Senator Obama is the only one who must be held responsible for contact with Bill Ayers? Here we have a Republican who founded the board, we can only guess there be a bunch of Republicans on staff and a bunch of Republicans on the Foundation board…but Senator Obama is the only one the Republican John McCain is worried about? Right! My guess is that McCain’s fact checkers were as lacking in knowledge as you are Frank and they too only saw Barack and Ayers names and thought this was a leftist Foundation when in fact it is a foundation founded and underwritten by a very very rich and famous Republican….

Reagan and Annenberg both died around the age of 95, What is your point about Annenberg. I know its difficult for you to believe this godsend Barack Obama of ever doing wrong. Guess what, he’s stepped in as much shit as the next politician. His job is to make sure you don’t find out. My fact checking knowledge is far from lacking, its just that people like you are too enthralled with Obama. If Michelle and Barack Obama sleep well at night knowing they gave money to a child molester. So should you. If Michelle and Barack Obama sleep well at night knowing they associated with a suspect in a murder investigation in San Fransisco. So should you. Hey, shes only a suspect, big deal. Paste this in and read it, its interesting. http://globallabor.blogspot.com/2008/04/who-sent-obama.html

Frank, the limits of your biases and bluster truly lie in uncharted territory. Colin Powell and his wife didn’t have the guts for the kind of odyssey that Barak and Michelle launched themselves and their family upon two years ago, having already accomplished things at that point which were truly historic. If Powell had possessed the guts to take on Bush in 2000, he might have forced Cheney to step aside, and he could have been the first Af/Am Vice-President. If he’d been VP rather than Darth Dick, the impeachment of Bush might have picked up steam years ago. Colin Powell could have been the first non-white president, but he lacked the courage. Give young Obama his due. At least give him credit for having the energy and heart that Powell lacked, if you can’t admit that his temperament and intelligence are far superior to McCain’s.

Well, I’ve never been to Ada. I went on a trek to Tahlequah 2 years ago, but the Heritage Museum was closed that month. I had a great-great Aunt that died in Choctaw country (Hugo) in the early 1900’s and my family settled in southwest Arkansas at the time of the Trail of Tears. It was a proposed Choctaw reservation prior to that era of herding people west (look at historic maps for that info). Anyway, I guess we’re turning Whoopi’s section into American HIstory….lol. My family in 1812 moved from Kentucky to northeastern AL, a grandmother came out of northwestern GA (all Cherokee Nation at the times) with other bands of families. 1836-7 they moved to AR. First north then south AR. My children’s father was also of Native American descent and some recessive genes just popped out in their generation. Funny things happened when they transferred schools. Did you know that kids had a bet to guess the ethnicity of my dtr? Strange but true. People thought I must have had something going with the milk man! So, my son has always listed his ancestry as Native American whereas my daughter only after the race betting incident. Me, I’m just a weird white girl Cherokee wannabe. (I think that’s the accepted term) I think you had to be on a reservation in the 1900s to be found on the rolls. We weren’t, but did in fact lose the land under mysterious circumstances in the early 1900s it was eventually sold to paper companies. I guess that’s what you get for faking whiteness. BTW they never owned slaves but my kids’ great-grandfather was an orphan housed in a barn and worked for the family that “took him in”. So, that’s my history lesson from a calico caucasion;) Sorry Whoopi sometimes I get wound up.

WHOOPI, In regard to unchartered waters : As we know, the new color is green; however, ABC has chosen their kind of green $$$ over eco green. They have refused to air an advertisement from the We Campaign, which is supported by citizens of this planet. We want a better future, which includes healthy alternatives for energy. Unfortunately, ABC had no problem airing ads from two different oil companies. I know this is a corporate issue, but how do you feel about your employer being bought and paid for by BIG OIL? I love your show, however, our family has decided to block all ABC stations and affiliates on our televisions. (There are 8 households in my family.) We have also decided to boycott all companies that advertise on ABC owned stations. I have loved you for years and I feel that we will be betraying you by taking this action. I’m sorry. Peace Beverly PS: When I was a kid, Lent sucked. I always gave up what would hurt the most, but at least that was just temporary. I’ll have to catch you at other venues.

At eighty three years in December, the uncharted waters are looming. Being older is an adventure too, just like being a twenty something. No one knows until they get there. When I was young I took care of an old character actress who was plus 90 and fairly helpless. She would say to me when I was tucking her in at night how she still felt like 17 inside. It was hard to understand when I was 30 but I understand now.

Why do uncharted waters have to be so far, far, away? I remember the first time I took the bus, in a huge city, dominated by freeways and individual cars, at a time my car needed major surgery. Everybody cringed when they found out…comments such as “ouuu, how could you do that? Weren’t you afraid?” shudder, shudder. Sure it took 2 1/2 hours to get to work, instead of the 20 minutes as a race car driver. It was like taking a leisurely vacation that week. I had more time to read, while on the bus. I met some very interesting people, learned things about the city I was living in that I never knew, listened to music—really listened, and lost weight because I had to walk the last 1/4 mile. By the time I got to my office, I was totally relaxed, and ready to ‘be busy’. Being relaxed at that time of my life, was ALSO treadding around in uncharted waters….. For the exotic plan I have been planning for 6 years now—is a 1 year trip around the world on a freighter. I have to carry my own luggage and eat with the crew—but hey! What better way to learn about and visit countries that are not on a ‘the most popular destination’ list? And what is so neat about going on a freighter? You can stay longer in one location, if you want, and hop a ride on another freighter, when ready to leave; freighter itineraries go places cruise lines and airplanes do not; and the price is 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a regular cruise line. PLUS! You don’t have to dress for dinner!

AT LAST, A PLACE TO VENT ABOUT MY FAVORITE EXAMPLE OF MSM illiteracy / sloppiness!!!!!!! Whoopi, have you noticed how many supposedly educated people confuse the word “unchartered” with uncharted? Uncharted is a wonderful adjective and should be getting even more play than it is. Thank you for helping us learn how to use it correctly. Unfortunately, even PBS’s sponsor of Lehrer’s News Hour has been allowed to misuse the word for months (if not years) in the opening blurb where the golden throated spokesperson waxes on and on about how wonderful (Chevron or Exxon or whomever) is for using “environmentally friendly” methods to search for new sources of energy in “unchartered” waters. The latter word simply means what is says, “lacking a charter”. In everyday conversation we should find far fewer instances where the longer word will be used.
