Why Joan Ganz Cooney Stopped Snapping Photographs

Joan Ganz Cooney
I keep only the old standard kind, in albums and in frames. I miss the old way and the excitement of getting the developed pictures from the pharmacy and choosing the best for enlargement and then framing them. And operating pre-digital cameras. I just couldn’t adapt to the new technology so I don’t take pictures anymore.

no dig-view may rival my favorite—-‘medium format’—-film from 6X6 or 6X7cm, when viewed as a slide has a 3-dimensional punch no dig-image may match—-

Joan, you can have that feeling again. Let me explain. Get your assistant to set this up for you—-like magic. When you arrive at home with your camera full of fabulous photos, just open the camera back as if you are going to take out the film and hand it over to a photo technician. Instead, just slip the chip inside the camera into the side of a printer, or your computer slot that is desinged to fit the chip. Make sure your printer is loaded with traditional 4 x 6 photo paper, and hit print!!! Go make yourself a coffee, and by the time you sit down to savour the taste, you will have a ready-made stack of photos to admire. Don’t make this harder than it is!!! Embrace the new tech!

Joan, I know just how you feel! I want pictures when my family gets together, as we did this Thanksgiving, but I just can’t seem to get into digital. Amelie, maybe I should take your advice.
