Will Ferrell Returns as Bush to Endorse 'Palin' on SNL (Video)

“Saturday Night Live” just keeps getting better and better this election season.
The show last night brought back comedian Will Ferrell to play President Bush in the primetime edition of “SNL.” In one skit, Ferrell’s Bush offered his political “Strategery” to Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin.
Ferrell has a famed impression of George W. Bush. He brought W to life once again on the "Weekend Update" special Thursday to give an evening address to the nation.
“Hello, my fellow Americans. I’ve chosen to schedule this impromptu address at night because quite frankly, every time I talk during the day, the stock market goes in the crapper,” Ferrell’s Bush says in his opening. “So sorry Asian markets, you take the hit on this one.”
He spoke about the election between “the hot lady and the Tiger Woods guy,” between Republican candidate John McCain (and his running mate, Sarah Palin) and Democratic contender Barack Obama — saying both are "heavily patriotized" and "display much characterization."
He then gave his endorsement to McCain and Palin, something that they obviously didn’t want. “Hey, don’t pinch yourself, John. You are awake,” Ferrell said, adding that he was unaware that his approval ratings were low because he had several months ago declared the Oval Office a "bummer free zone."
Eventually Darrell Hammond as McCain (who Ferrell at one point called “McRage”) turned up to reluctantly receive the endorsement, brought in by a snowmobile outfit-clad “Todd Palin.” Fey joked that he was running away in the Adirondacks but that her husband, Todd, and his drinking buddies were in hot pursuit on their snowmobiles.
“When you think of John McCain, think of me, George W. Bush,” Ferrell joked.
