Righto! Just trying to make sense of this wacky world we live in and trying to carve out a small spot for myself in the great morass…the traditional ways of getting information are shifting and women are right smack in the middle of it all.

This is such a phenomeal site and kudos to all of you who were savvy enough to realize there was a need for a place like this for women like us. This is my favorite place and I look forward to coming here and reading all the opinions of the great women who also come here…and the men too.

Hello IMLR…..What’s wrong with “phenomeal”? Emcye Edwards posted a long list of these words….very funny! So….”phenomeal” ……”a fabulous dining experience offered up by a celebrity”………..

Don’t exactly know how to send you to Emcye’s list….(the dog ate my homework…)….save it for a rainy day…or a slow news day….. And….oh my!…that is the sweetest little face on your avatar….!

I agree with both Tee Zee and IM Lizzie. Plus: wOw values its posters. No other site does that. A great idea, a great design, great tech and editorial … It’s unique and really the best of all out there. No other media site comes close to its inviting nature. Thanks, wOw! P.S. Looking forward to more of Sheila Nevins and her creative “interactive” storytelling (another valued, unique feature of wOw).

Impresssive…had no idea that wOw had so many unique page views…just imagine it’s the same group. Hmm, guess better watch it. Great photo of the ‘Wows’ in the WWD piece.

wOw is a great site. I’m not surprised that women are flocking to enjoy what we see in it, everyday. All of the articles and comments are interesting to read. Say what you will, but wOw is never boring. :-)

Belinda: …but wOw is never boring Indeed, it’s not. Now just exactly what is it about Obama that you like so much? SWAT !! And how come I can’t see in him what you can see? POW !! And, furthermore, leave Sarah Palin alone. I like her. BOOM !!

Sure. You leave Barack Obama alone and I will leave Sarah Palin alone. Agreed? We both know you can’t do that Majorie, it is part of your DNA to find fault in the man. You can’t help yourself. There is nothing that he could ever change about himself that would make you like him, and it’s just a hunch, but I think he is perfectly okay with someone like you not liking him. I share that belief. Like me he realizes not everyone in life is going to like us. They hold biases that are irrational. His focus and attention should be toward the millions that supported him, people such as yourself that have nothing but negativity are what’s known as “white noise” annoying sounds that chirp and twiddle in the background, but are easily ignored. One day, you’ll see you and your family will profit from the changes made by this man you enjoy trashing so much. And the sad part is you won’t appreciate it.

Hello…and DUH….is “unique page view” separate people looking in or WHA….? How is that calculated…..Sounds like one heck of a lot of people no matter how you figure it…..

After checking out the three sites mentioned, Shine, Frisky and XX, methinks wOw is the better organized and easier to get around. Maybe it’s the old familiarity factor kicking in, but I’ve enjoyed the community here. However much I enjoy this spot, I do think the statistics are over stated by a whole lot by WWD… I mean 600,000 unique visitors, 4.5 million page views? A zanier place, and the one Star Lawrence migrated to, is Uppity Woman. To have fun with the site, it helps to have issues with Democatics.

Democatic? Time for a break… that should be Democrats. But… Demonrats wouldn’t have been too bad… make that either Democrats or Demonrats.
