Happy Inauguration Day! You must feel so proud today and so you should be! As a nation you have not only inspired hope among your nation, you have also inspired hope in the world. It is almost 4am in Sydney and my home is buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm. Enjoy the celebrations that will come after the Inauguration.

Im so excited about today that I almost feel dumb….. but I dont care….. This whole day is about Love and understanding….. which will bring peace and unity With all of the hope and high expectations, if all goes well, America will become the leader in the world that it once was. Thank you President Obama….. for all that you have done so far, and all that you will do in the future. As a friend of mine says on another blog….. Its a beautiful day in America.

Someone on another board cracked me up by “imagining” that the two were actually silently exchanging the following sentiments: Obama: I didn’t vote to confirm you. Roberts: I didn’t vote for you either. Both: Well, hell, here we are anyway. Roberts got flustered, Obama handled it gracefully.

Speaking of Bozos. Hurry up and escort that other Bozo off the property. Stick him on a chopper and get him out of Washington!

LOL. I like the way that Michelle and Barack escorted the Bushes to the helicopter personally ——just to make sure they got on it and flew away!

I have never been so happy to see a chopper lift off. I admit, I threw a slipper at the TV

Oddly enough, Bush’s father started the ceremony, I heard. And I know what you mean.

LMAO Alias, we didn’t go as far as throwing slippers and shoes at our tv screen, but we did cheer when it lifted off. One of my friends did yell “That’s right Mister, get the hell outta Dodge!” She is an American living here in Canada, she used to complain about having to go back to the States at some point, now she can’t wait till the time comes, which I believe is in 3 months, ohh how we are going to miss her.

My Alias…..LOL. For some reason, I couldn’t stop laughing when the helicopter took off….I guess such a relief….had all kinds of paranoid imaginings about how they might undo the election….how this wasn’t real until saw that they were really gone.
