Well, having read this entire thread back to front I’m sure my comments will seem as out of place as McCain’s did tonight (still Weds here). Sooooooo, I’m off to enjoy some Sex (in the City) reruns. CA

Um, do you guys have a proofreader at wOw? I mean, the “rinal” debate? Um. By the way, I finally found a way to listen to the debate without additional blood pressure meds or losing my lunch. I watched it on the spanish station. Which worked really well. You might recall that I don’t actually know spanish.

Mugsy that is too too funny. I acutally thought McCain might have been speaking Spanish or at least some other language because I was having a very difficult time understanding his back and forth, over and over disoriented answers. I’m sure glad he did this as it showed a lot of voters that he just can’t perform under pressure. He actually appeared about ready to have a stroke.

I realize that truth is not in fashion these days, but I will at least put it out there. No one—no one can corroborate the reporter’s story that someone yelled “kill him” at a Palin rally. Just like the MSM, gleefully run with a story that fits their paradigm and plaster it all over as the truth—as long as they get the desired results, it doesn’t matter what the truth is. Too bad we can’t “impeach” the press. http://timesleader.com/news/breakingnews/Secret_service_says_Kill_him_al… Spreading lies to gin up fear, hatred, and racism—anything to win—disgraceful.

Eleanor - The “lynch him” shout at a Palin rally was reported by our local (read: conservative) television stations. You could even hear other hateful things being shouted on the video they played while a newsperson described the scene. It was an embarrassment for our community, and reeked of the racism that still very much exists in the South. Ms. Palin kept that plastered grin on her face and continued making false statements meant to inflame her audience. The woman IS a hatemonger!

Joanne—If you read the link I provided, you will see that the claim that someone said “kill him” at the rally could not be corroborated by the Secret Service. They have to look into any threats such as these. If you have proof that this happened, provide it. As I stated, the “kill him” claim is false—the local reporter who reported it, is the only person who claims to have heard it—this was found after there was an investigation by the Secret Service—if you don’t believe them, then what can I say.

And Joanne——If you want to witness some “actual” bad behavior—- Look at the lovely behavior exhibited by supposedly “educated”, “tolerant” Upper West Side intellectuals and elites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQalRPQ8stI talk about an embarrassment

Hey Eleanor….According to newspaper this AM — Article from “News Services” “The Secret Service Investigated allegations and found no indication that “kill him” was ever said, or if it was said, that the remark was directed at Obama. Listening to tapes of that rally, the Secret Service heard “tell him” or “tell them”, but Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren told the AP on Wednesday. Also, did you see the report on Jesse Jackson? Old Jesse just keeps putting his foot in the mouth of the Democrats —

Eleanor - I’m not talking about Scranton, PA - if you read my first comment, I did say I was in Florida. Will try to find the documentation you require. As for the Secret Service, if I don’t always believe them, then what can I say?

eleanor…I wish you had watched the news reports that came out on this—-there is videa and audio…Palin is at the podium speaking, and someone can clearly be heard shouting out ‘kill him’….another city…someone shouts out ‘terrorist’….another one….need I go on? the FBI was looking for the guy at one of these things….but they could not find him. Just because they could not find him, does NOT mean it did not happen. I heard it myself just watching it live….I heard with my very own ears the words ‘kill him’….are you going to call me and others who heard that, liars, as well?

Patty—Did you read the link I provided? It’s not that they “couldn’t find the guy”—there was no “guy”—they couldn’t find ONE other person besides the reporter who reported the story who heard it!! There was never a “guy” to look for, they didn’t have eyewitness accounts of a person saying it. They would actually have to have proof that it was said before they can look for who said it, right? So, you are wrong, the Secret Service never said “they could not find him”—they said they could not corroborate the reporter’s story—ie, no one else in the crowd, who was there, heard it, let alone say they saw the actual person who supposedly said. Read the story on the SS investigation—-it was front page news yesterday. The Secret Service was there, at the rally, they have many officers that pose as crowd members—none of them heard it either. And yes, if no one who was actually there at the rally heard it, it does mean that it did not happen.

My apologies if my response offended you, but I listen to this stuff all day long—and I, myself, heard someone say ;”kill him;” during one of Palins’ appearances, as well as shout out ‘terrorist’, in another, with my own ears. And because certain newspapers, TV and radio stations, are slanted very right, and others are slanted very left, ‘what really happened’ is often reported quite differently. And i read both sides of the story. (Libra) When it was reported on TV, for instance, I note that Fox did not cover it—but MSNBC and CNN did report it..And so did Forbes in an alert, and it also came to me in an alert from Market Watch, which is owned by Dow Jones, AND I got an AP alert, as well—all those in writing. I remember exactly the first time I hear the shout-out, as I literally shuddered with fear. So we will just agree to disagree, and that is OK with me ;-D

Again, I knew that the actual truth would not matter—no one said “kill him”—the Secret Service did an investigation, could find no truth in this allegation. It was used in a widespread smear campaign and now it is found to be untrue. Why can’t any of you ever admit you are wrong. As to “hearing” it on a You tube video or newscast, I can’t believe you would find that more believeable than the people who were actually there. Since no one can be found who was there to corroborate the story after the investigation, that is the more reliable account. Anyone can put anything on the internet and say it is true—audio can be doctored you know. I am constantly amazed at how you folks can twist or ignore the truth to suit your needs and pick and chose only those facts you want to believe. I honestly believe it is a disease. I am defending no one—I am debunking the erroneous claims of “kill him” at the Palin rallies—The Secret Service investigate each and every one of these threats and they can not be corroborated and were determined to be unfounded. By the way, what defence do you provide for the bullies in Upper West Side? It’s time more of you start accounting for the despicable behaviour of your side. Your side is far more guilty of ignorant behavior—I didn’t see anyone try to smear Biden the way Palin was. The utter ease with which the left attacks and vilifies and then has the audacity to complain when the opposite side counters is astonishing. I am sure there are far more instances of the type of disgusting behavior caught on tape in NYC than we will ever know about—that incidence wasn’t on the broadcast news, but the unfounded claims of “kill him” was. Obviously, the media is not going to expose the left and their hooligans.
