Ah, and we gain another (real) hour of sleep on 1st November, right?! Switching from daylight-saving time to standard time. That’s one area where I give II-Bush some credit. He moved the start of daylight-saving up to early March. Like me, he prefers lots of daylight at night. He wanted to move it into February, but certain industries would’ve been hurt, such as farming, so early March it is.

Yes yes. In these turbulent time we need to revert to kindergarten rules. Get one big long string that joins us all at the heart and hold on to it like kids on one giant field trip. Who knows where we’re going?

By Donna Smith, PDA Healthcare NOT Warfare Co-chair October 1, 2008 We have just a few weeks left to seal the deal for our nation. If we are to make healthcare a higher priority than warfare, we must elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Under their leadership, we can finally hope to bring an end to the over-investment in war and the under-investment in providing guaranteed healthcare to every American. One Heartbeat Away, an ad sponsored by one of our closest partners in the fight for single payer, guaranteed healthcare is the 85,000-member National Nurses Organizing Committee/California Nurses Association NNOC/CNA, begins a run this morning in six battleground states—Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Colorado, and Missouri. Fostered by the growing concern among healthcare professionals over the health status of Sen. John McCain, the ad also provides a reminder of some of the controversial moments of Palin’s record as governor of Alaska and mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. The timing of the ad coincides with a report Tuesday from Bragg Associates, an actuary firm, that John McCain would have a 1 in 4 chance of dying in office from natural causes, which would lead to Palin completing his term. Watch the ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRY3njcGgWU and Pray The Divine Mercy prayer .org ..for Obama and HR676 …I have some French Monks praying for him and HR676 …they told me to move there …I love French Monks ! I was totally against it, when first proposed, and said so, to my ‘then’ financial consultant. Do you know what he said to me? “They will only be allowed to invest that money into certain specific stocks” and then he said, “People should be responsible for themeslves, anyway”. AAGGHHHH! So why did his statements contradict each other? And IF it would have turned out that only ‘certain stocks’ would be allowed—-how much easier it would have been to steal the money, sooner than later, with all the non-enforcement of the rules??????

Wonder if you financial counsellor still has a job? An Certain stocks mean what? Those stocks are gone with the wind.

As a matter of fact—-he lost his job not long afterwards….along with several others at American Express/Ameriprise,. Seems there were a lot of lawsuits at the time, and it turned out that he was part of the problem. I took a trip to Austin with the annual service fee was refunded to me ;-D. And of course, I had already transferred my stuff out, once I realized that this guy wasn;t going to working for my benefit!

This is a question to our board hosts. I read a comment somewhere else today, that suggested the media loves a close race. His premise was that the media will ignore the poll results that Obama is ahead, and instead, treat the campaign as if it WERE a close race, therefore promote McCain, to the viewers. Would you/could you, please comment on his concern?

Greetings everyone. Can’t wait to talk with you all tonight. As for Patty E’s last post —- I can’t speak for all the media but I can tell you that last night we reported the lastest poll results on Nightline indicating that Barack Obama leads John McCain in Ohio. This is particularly interesting as no Republican candidate for President has ever successfully achieved the White House without winning Ohio. More to come. I would love to know what you all think Tom Brokaw’s first question should be?

And I watched you as you said so! I watch you EVERY night, just before Charlie Rose….thanks for responding to my question!

Opps! I should have put this here…Tom Brokaw’s first question should be Please tell us in detail what your plan is for the current economics situation and how do you see our current economics effecting are ability to stage war on two fronts?

Hi Cynthia, I would think it would have to do with either the bailout bill, or the stock market. I can’t get more specific than that. I’m still hoping that someone other than Tom Brokaw will be the moderator.

Look forward to you joining us live tonight, Cynthia! With the markets down again today the first question has to be what each candidate plans to do to aid the economic recovery.

Welcome to our zoo, Cynthia. I’m looking forward to your interaction tonight. It seems as though emotions have heightened after the last couple of days of Sarah Palin’s rabble rousing. Not only is she off limits to any press people, but so is everyone in her audience. Mob rule. Slander and lies. As far as this evening’s debate is concerned, I hope all of us here don’t emulate Sarah. Stop to blink. And think. And, in just under an hour, when the two candidates that most certainly hold our future in their hands begin to answer questions… MAY THE POSTS BEGIN!
