wowOwow Welcomes All Women, 'Good Day New York'-ers! (Video)

Our fabulous four founders told all this morning on a guest appearance on Fox’s "Good Day New York." In case you missed it, or watched it, loved it and visited us because we piqued your interest, Joni Evans, Liz Smith, Lesley Stahl and Mary Wells spoke about their smart website, wowOwow.com.

The women explained that wowOwow, a website run by an all-star roster of female movers and shakers, including Whoopi Goldberg, Marlo Thomas and Lily Tomlin, appeals to all women.

"From Candice Bergen live blogging at the Oscars to brilliant women writers" offering words of wisdom, Lesley was full of compliments when speaking about the variety of topics offered on wowOwow. Lesley — who looked stunning in red lipstick — also revealed that she’s working on regular wOw interviews … You’ll have to visit wowOwow.com again to see who’s the next big name to be drilled by the veteran "60 Minutes" reporter.

wOw’s CEO Joni Evans was her clever self — even in the wee hours of the morning — as she explained how wOw began and her upcoming plans to revitalize the bleeding book publishing world.

Mary, the Grand Dame of Advertising, explained wOw’s unique edge in the competition.

And — even before most of us had our morning lattes — darling Liz wasted no time sharing gossip about the best actress Oscar-winner Kate Winslet.

Wonderful for wowOwow. Unfortunately these republican women will also be exposed to the childish and divisive dialogue that comes from the left as well. There are quite a few liberals on this site who engage in name calling, racial baiting and meaningless hypotheticals to get a weak point across.

I read a comment just this morning about Sarah Palin on the daycare thread that drew alot of criticism to the poster. It was mean spirited and ugly and is an excellent example of just how crude some posters can get….yes, from some of the liberals.

So, before the liberals begin their crusade to discredit all of the conservative posters, please take a moment and examine your very own posts and take personal responsibility for your part in engaging in this type of dialogue.

This is a lovely little sentiment. For some reason though, I dont think it was directed to everyone, but was directed to the left.

I believe that you used the term "halo comment"

The post that you made in the "childcare" thread all bold that was entitled Repairing friendships I thought that post was mean spirited and ugly and is an excellent example of just how crude some posters can get.

It seems to me just another case on rules that you want to set up for the liberals that you dont want to follow yourself.

deber B — I’ve only been on this site a couple of weeks, it didn’t take long to figure out that the right wing had pretty much made the site not worth much in terms of discussing issues. All you have to do is check out the end of any dialogue thread, the same people are in there congratulating themselves on how brilliant THEY are………..as if.

I think the biggest problem of all is the fact that folk’s post their opinions on something and invaribly someone comes along thinking they are so much smarter than the original poster and feels some incessant need to add their two cents, all the while making ludicrous accusations of this , that and the other thing. And, especially when not asked for. Instead of asking the poster why they may feel the way they do or what they may have meant, they blast suedo charges of racism, bigotry and all their other BS. It’s not prejudical to state that the Mexican population are the greatest number of illegal entries into this country. And for someone to insist that that statement is prejudiced is foolish…It’s a fact for Christsake!

I agree, Belinda — for the most part, I don’t even get involved in the "issue" discussion because of the same right wingers posting the same inflamatory stuff over and over again and calling people names. Now, it’s just kinda fun to look at the threads and see that the same people are in there talking to themselves — they’ve bored everyone else to pieces. Maybe some new Republican blood can help bring up the level of the exchanges to something worth spending time on.

It’s really true, and I hate the fact that I sometimes allow myself to be pulled into it. I’m guilty of being completely nasty and inappropriate, and that’s where the “pack” mentality comes in to play. It’s so odd; the other women’s site I belong to is nothing like wOw in terms of the Right Wingers…not at all. They NEVER allow the racist comments, cut and paste biased political humor and entertainment or personal jabs. There are actual discussions. But that site lacks so many of the attributes that makes wOw stand out. I’m not saying I wish there was a different type of Republican voice on the wOw blogs to be insulting, I mean that in all sincerity. I LOVE discussing politics with those who agree and disagree. But if you’re going to disagree, bring facts to the table not rhetoric and biased personal opinions.
