wowOwow Welcomes All Women, 'Good Day New York'-ers! (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
The Fab Founders on Fox

Our fabulous four founders told all this morning on a guest appearance on Fox’s "Good Day New York." In case you missed it, or watched it, loved it and visited us because we piqued your interest, Joni Evans, Liz Smith, Lesley Stahl and Mary Wells spoke about their smart website, wowOwow.com.

The women explained that wowOwow, a website run by an all-star roster of female movers and shakers, including Whoopi Goldberg, Marlo Thomas and Lily Tomlin, appeals to all women.

"From Candice Bergen live blogging at the Oscars to brilliant women writers" offering words of wisdom, Lesley was full of compliments when speaking about the variety of topics offered on wowOwow. Lesley — who looked stunning in red lipstick — also revealed that she’s working on regular wOw interviews … You’ll have to visit wowOwow.com again to see who’s the next big name to be drilled by the veteran "60 Minutes" reporter.

wOw’s CEO Joni Evans was her clever self — even in the wee hours of the morning — as she explained how wOw began and her upcoming plans to revitalize the bleeding book publishing world.

Mary, the Grand Dame of Advertising, explained wOw’s unique edge in the competition.

And — even before most of us had our morning lattes — darling Liz wasted no time sharing gossip about the best actress Oscar-winner Kate Winslet.

Great segment. Congrats, WoW, on becoming a truly terrific website. It was pretty sparse when I first signed on last May, but now it’s really good. I realize it’s for women, but I’ve struck up some friendships here. Thanks for that.

James, I, for one, am glad you’re here … and the few other men who stop by also…… (Well, most of them :-)

I love a site for women, there is a certain comfort zone, but I also went to an all girl High School & College and realize, after that, that we need a little cinnamon mixed in with our spice.

Nice show, ladies !  One year anniversary coming up….awesome !

It is not just what you say, but how you say it.  When someone makes a reactionary post, if you feel like you are being attacked, take a breath, move on for a while and then come back and see if you really want to respond.  We don’t have to respond to everyone that tries to bait us.

Frannie, I say people just need to leave other people alone. if one doesn’t like or agree with another posters opinion, then stop and ask why they feel that way or what they meant. AND if the inquirer is not satified then let them move on. This is not rocket science and it sounds as if everyone is wanting to sway everyone else to their way of thinking more than wanting to respect each others differences of opinion. It’s not the end of the world if folk’s disagree. It also seems as though those who attack are offered the pass and the attacked have to sit back take a deep breath and put up with it……NO, maybe the attacker needs to take the time out, so that the rest of us can carry on with the pleasantries of the day.

I didn’t see the show because I NEVER watch any programming on FOX.

Yet, it appears that my ‘boycott’ of FOX cost me an opportunity to see wowOwow’s great and fabulous four founders getting the attention they have earned and absolutely deserve.

Congrats to the fantastic team of women at wowOwow!!

I don’t watch or listen to Fox anymore ~ not even to keep myself informed of what "they" are doing. But, I do catch everyone elsewhere. Keep up whatever good work you are doing out there ~ it a zany world for reality, now-a-daze.

Congratulations to the WOW staff for a PR coup.

This site is great to learn other people’s opinions and to hopefully have some kind of respectful dialogue.  I also think it’s important to remember that other countries can access this site and see how we treat each other. I’ll do my best, and hope you all will as well.

I’m also glad to see some posts being taken off that are inflamatory or opportunistic.  This site gives us a somewhat safe forum to discuss and even to vent at times, but we need to remember to treat each other with respect to keep it safe and also to show the rest of the world, especially now with everybody watching us, that the values upon which this nation was founded still exist and thrive here.

Thanks to everybody at WOW for the gift of such a forum.

I find it amusing to see all the trepidation over the "Fox" channel interview. It’s Fox network not Fox news channel, get over it.
