Rupert Murdoch bid $580 million for Newsday in hopes of adding it to his collection of New York-based newspapers. He already owns two of the nation’s top ten highest-circulation newspapers — The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post. Read about it here in The New York Times and here in Newsday. Seeing as I didn’t know what “Freeper” was until today, I guess I’m not one of those—but it does sound like a great gig. Maybe I’ll call the Heritage Foundation and see if they’ll give me a position. Seems like I inadvertently did a pretty good job of stirring up the pot here with you and your supporters. And as to facts, you lost any credibility with me when you said there is “NO LEFT WING MEDIA”. If that is a fact, why is Fox the only news outlet you seem to hate. Maybe MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, The New York Times, The LA Times, The Washington Post, just to list a FEW, aren’t far left enough for you? They certainly don’t qualify as right, because if they did, more people would be watching/reading. Also, here’s a “fact”—in a survey of “news people” , around 90% described themselves as left or far left of center.

The quotes you cite come mainly from Democrats giving their individual interpretations of the Constitution in order to provide support for a welfare state. There is a huge difference between the word PROMOTE and PROVIDE. The Constitution dictates that our country provide a military defence system. An example of promoting the general welfare would be for them to encourage an atomosphere that allows people to succeed—like tax cuts. Anyway, I thought I was an “idiot” and you were “through with me”. Let’s face it Madam, there will be no “smack down” today. It’s been fun, let’s do lunch! P.S. You forgot to quote Karl Marx!
