Aftr seeing how supportive Chelsea was to her mother in the primaries, I’d love to see the two of them work together to improve conditions for women. I know that the grandeur and maybe the power of the presidency wouldn’t be involved, but I think that Hillary has her own very important historical and political reputation that might be used to enhance women’s lives. Maybe in the health care field or in helping women internationally. Perhaps Hillary could use her clout to pursuade Obama to create a post for health care or womens’ issues. For sure, I think fighting the old boys is just robbing Hillary of valuable energy. She is too smart for them.

Hillary Clinton needs to get to a quiet place, re-group, rest, read a book that has nothing to do with what she has been going through. She needs to re-center herself spiritually and mentally, and, take it a day at a time. If she can get in touch with her heart, her journey will take her on the right path. I absolutely have no idea how anyone stands this much limelight, whether it is politicians, their spouses or the movie stars. It can’t be good for anyone. Every thinking person needs time for introspection and reflection…

I believe that Senator Clinton will privately appreciate the support of her constituancy but will follow her own conscience. I would expect her to continue in her political journey; but carve a new path. A path that would return her to the woman the American Public first warmed to when her husband was Govenor (pre-scandal). She is a provacative political figure with the stamina of the sturn Eleanor Roosevelt and the savy Barbara Jordan. If she would re-inject herself with the spark she had, similar to that of the Ann Richards; in my opinnion, she could very well be POTUS in 2012. I agree with Mugsy that Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama “are who they are publicly” because of who their husbands are, but there’s a catch coming (actually, I think it has already started). Therefore, I cannot wait until tomorrow to voice my advice to Michelle Obama. So here it is………… Mrs. Obama, if you choose to show your own political aspirations, be upfront about it; If you desire to have a political legacy, which I believe you do; do it now. I’ll probably be ejected form the local Republican Party for this one!

Hillary, First I would have a heart 2 heart with ol Bill and tell him in plain language to knock off the funny stuff or pack it up and leave. Love him or not to me he makes her look weak. Secondly if you want to be numero uno don’t settle for being dos. Use your time left in the Senate to do all the things you wanted to to help turn this country around. You may find that you have more power and fluidity there than being at the White House. Being a woman as you well know means many things in this country none of which has much to do with power. Persuasion and discernment are greater gifts that God has given to us. Use them to obtain your goals.

I agree with all you say except for one thing. No one has the right or priviledge of telling anyone how to handle their personal life or how to deal with their husband, like him or loathe him. He may just be experiencing a group of problems we know nothing about, and even if we did, what’s the difference? This is a complex situation for anyone, and our personal lives are are own. She may need, love.value, repect, or whatever enough to want him warts and all. Many women and many men do just that. This is personal business and if it hurts her, I’m sure she is aware of the downside but will nevertheless decide what to do. Love conquers all.

I don’t agree Doc’s girl h. I saw no weakness in Hillary at all in that last speech, which must have painful to give. It was the most powerfully presidential speech of the entire campaign.

Serena .
Hillary, Tell Bill to straighten his ass up, support Obama, and go for the Supreme Court!! You can do more there than as a VP.

Serena roflmao YES! re Bill—not so sure about the Supremes—better maybe if she hit Health Care like Gore on Global Warming. But she’ll decide in her own way and time. :-)

My advice to Hillary Clinton is to work as hard as she can to get a Democrat into the White House. She should be proud of what she has accomplished. But the primaries are over now, and we must focus on the general election in the fall. Also, she should absorb the $11 million she lent to her own campaign and not expect others to repay her campaign debt. Another candidate who did not have the $11 million to lend themselves would have stopped their campaign when they ran out of money.

Hillary should be well rested, news reports trip to Martha’s Vineyard for a month, so should return ready to go back to work in the Senate.

I have been an Obama supporter from the start. However, I was appalled when people began telling Senator Clinton to “quit” or that she was “hurting the party”. Balderdash! What I would like to say to Senator Clinton (I wouldn’t presume to give her any advice) is that you ran a great race, you are a major reason for the huge turn-outs this primary season, and I am in awe of your intelligence, graciousness, and determination. Well run contest Senator.
