Joan Ganz Cooney Cautions George Bush

I hope he disappears from view which, oddly enough, I think he has the good taste to do until he writes a book, and then we’ll be subjected to all those silly defensive interviews again.

Liz Smith to Bush: Follow in Bill Clinton's Footsteps

I would advise him to follow the example of President Clinton and devise a huge international rescue effort of some sort. There he could be effective and raise lots of money to help people the same way he managed to endow his rich friends like the people at Halliburton, etc. when he was in the White House. The only way he can erase his dismal record is to do something dramatic, just as President Clinton has done for the AIDs initiative.

He has done enough. But thanks just the same.

Candice Bergen Prescribes Bush a 'Chill' Pill

George W. Bush should BE QUIET. For a long time. Then be appointed baseball commissioner. Play golf. Chill with his buds.

Marlo Thomas Can Refuse to Answer

The first thing that comes to mind is, "Go away!" But the great thing is, I don’t have to answer your question, because as of yesterday, I never have to think about George W. Bush again.

Well, he only receives the protection of the Secret Service for 10 years, not lifetime like they have been, so maybe he better start learning to run.

Sandee — Excuse me! After reading through this entire thread — I find your remark the most disturbing of all. Your remark goes beyond disgusting! Just remember, in ten years President Obama will also have his Secret Service taken away. President Bush does know how to run — runs every day — If we are to assume your shaded comment — then President Obama should learn how to run also.

President Obama so far hasn’t killed 100,000 people.

The number is a lot higher Sandbee—The Lancet, a Brit medical journal, was estimated that over 500k Iraqis have lost their lives in his splendid little war.

Hey, I am saying it as truth, he has just come into office -but Bush has done it. Killed a hundred thousand or more as Frank so rightly says. These are the kind of acts that I find disturbing.

The presidents primary job is national security. The Clinton presidency left us grossly unprotected and months into Bush we get attacked. Noone has access to the information former president Bush was provided and based his decisions on. He has kept us safe! “That” is more important to me than the economy. Money isn’t going to do us much good if we are dead. Big blame game as I see it. FInancially people need to be responsible for their bad choices. It has been a democratic house and senate that helped run things into the ground. I will support our president, I want to see anyone who runs our country do well. That said, maybe we should extend former president Bush the same grace I am sure we will need to extend Obama in due time! I hope Bush can relax and enjoy his family, in time we will realize the good things he accomplished.

Lets clear up your revisionist attempt CW….. Bill Clinton kept us safe from 1993 till the end of his presidency….. He kept us safe without ordering torture on anyone…. The Clinton Administration handed over many intelligence reports including one titled…. “Bin Laden Determined To Strike in US”…. these reports were discarded because “It was information based on old reporting”. We will never know, but if they would have listened to the Clinton transition team, 9/11 may have been stopped….. Remember… Bill Clinton kept us safe…… I believe that the transition for the Obama Administration went so well, because Bush learned from the mistakes that he made coming into office.

Bill Clinton shouldn’t have “handed over” reports…he should have “handled them”. Trust me the layers of neglect fall on both sides of the fence. It is not my intention to rain on the Obama parade, simply to stop the blame game.

So I see… according to you 9/11, although it happened on Bush’s watch, was CLINTON’S fault… so, due to Bush’s invasion and occupation of Iraq which has been the best recruitment tool Al Qaeda could have ever hoped for, AND the fact that Bush failed to get Bin Laden…. if there should be an attack on our soil during Obama’s watch… you will blame it on Bush, right?
