Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever had an out-of-body experience or felt an otherworldly presence you couldn't deny?

yes i believe in it all. joni; my mother could also do the things that your psychic did for you. my mom is amazing and she is close to God. To james: So you are saying that the only ones God speaks to are men Noah..the great flood and Moses. and the Angel speaking through God to Mary Jesus’ mother……..thanks for listening
No, I don’t believe in Ghost or spooks and before those of you, even old, dead movie stars get their panties in a twist, I am speaking for myself and don’t give a rats ass if you agree or disagree, these are my beliefs, Capiech! Now, the reason that “I” don’t believe in Ghosts, is that the Bible clearly states that to be absent from this body (Flesh body) is to be present with the Lord. When we physically pass away from this life, we are no longer in this dimension and quite honestly…Once in Paradise with our Heavenly father, we have no concerns about this earthly dimension. Our time here is limited and then we move on. I do however believe that many a time when our loved ones are in the final stages of death, it is possible that as we are making that transition, that God would allow for a loved one, who is now with him, one that we loved and trusted in life, make themselves visible to the dying individual as a form of reassurance that their passing is normal and a part of moving on to the next phase of our lives. The flesh body goes back to dust…we don’t need it any longer but the spirit returns to the one who gives it and that would be God. Yes, there are evil spirits that can decieve one into thinking they are communicating with a loved one and again only a ploy to avert your attention to the comfort that God gives us in knowing where are loved ones are. there are good spirits and we as children of God make the concious decision in our lives to choose which spirits to listen to. I firmly believe that people can dabble, if you will, with those evil spirits in trying to conjure up our so called loved ones. It is not that people knowingly seek out evil spirits, they are not. They are merely wanting to communicate with someone they love and to let them know that they love them or attempt to find out the reasons for their death and more importantly, if they are now at peace, but the real danger in this is, that evil spirits will intervene and cause one to believe that they are truly speaking with their loved ones and what that danger really represents is, that 1.) the loved one doing the seeking is being decieved and to further my point, they are not listening to what God has said about those that have left us and that is that they are not suffering in some hole in the ground and that one day you are going to see and be with them again. And there, is where God said, your comfort and peace should rest in knowing Christ’s promises to us. Instead of the doubting and fretting with regards as to where your loved ones are. What James was saying is that by seeking out those who profess to speak to the dead, opens the doors for evil spirits to decieve you and that the Lord tells you this is wrong because he knows that Satan will do all in his power and ability to decieve you and that God really loves you and if you will take the time to absorb what God has to say, you will be comforted in the fact that God promised that you would see your loved ones again. Now, as I stated at the begining of my post, these are my beliefs and I have spoken for myself only, no one else. So don’t even think about posting me back, to say that I am shoving this or anything else down your throats or saying your going to go to hell if you don’t believe what I said or any other form of bullshit that would come from one who cannot or willfully refuses to read plain English. I put out my belief alone, not that of anyone else. Now watch for yourselves, some dumb ass will invariably attempt to state that they feel this is shoving religion down their throats and all I can say to that is get a life and learn to read!
Do you believe in angels being able to come into our realm, Elaine? I heard a female voice say “Jim!” when I had fallen asleep at the wheel in rush-hour traffic…don’t know if that was a dream or an angel?
Absolutely James! I most definately do and the reason being through out the Bible, Angels appeared to man all the time i.e. an Angel appeared to Daniel, Ezekial and many others. Also, those men who appeared at Jesus’s tomb, asking why they were there and weeping for Jesus, were Angels all sent from God to comfort Mary and the others. And this is the key, they were all from God. Also the Bible clearly states that you may entertain Angels unaware. In other words treat each other with love, kindness, and generosity, as you never really know to whom you are doing these kind acts for. On three different occassions, when I lived in Cali and had to check in at o’dark thirty, LOL “super early’ for a flight, I would be the only car on the road for miles and sometimes pretty darn tired and out of nowhere a car would would sudden be right at my tail but in the lane next to me, not directly behind me and would stay positioned relatively close but never close enough to see wether it was a man or woman. At first I was a little squimish because at this time in Cali there was a rash of snipper idiots on the freeways and I thought “Oh great” This could be the time I don’t get to come home to the kids, Then suddenly there was all fear and apprehension gone and a peace that who ever this was was not interested in harming me. At the end of this feeling I again looked back to see where this car was in relationship to me, only to find it no longer there and no possible way to have exited the freeway without me having seen it do so, as believe me, my eyes were constantly veering back and forth from the road to the car. So, who knows? But I certainly believe that this could have been Angels as all three times were very early in the morning, still dark outside and no one around to help, had I been in trouble. But like I said as soon as I began to feel nervous that this could be a bad thing the peace of God came over me and I felt no fear. :)
Very good Read Elaine and yes I must agree. For the first time with you however we could have done without all the cussing …lol
I posted on this thread and don’t see my comment. If this happens too many (like one) more times I WILL stop posting and visiting. What’s up? I did’nt talk about anything that should be censored.
Andromeda, that’s never happened to me. But one thing that can happen is, if you enter the wowOwow.com website and write a note, and then click “Submit”, it might not be posted because you are not logged in. In other words, most of the time when I come to WoW, I’m already logged in. But sometimes I think I am, and I am not. I hit “Submit” and nothing happens. Then I scroll up, and - lo and behold - I wasn’t logged on. If you’re not logged on, it won’t go through. I have no idea if that’s what’s happening to you, but it happened to me a couple times.
Thanks for the feedback James,
But I was logged in. I can always tell that I’m logged in cause my “avatar”, etc is in the upper right hand corner of my monitor. Odd.
Txks again
And where is my post on this thread from yesterday? Did I scare somebody with my ghost storyies stuff?
Well…yer right, AJ. I don’t see any post pertaining to this subject other than yer queries about where the post went. Bummer. It’s lost in The Void somewhere.
Can you repost it? That’s probably a huge hassle. If yer like me, it was probably some long, epic post that you could never quite duplicate unless you thought to save it to notepad or something. I’d like to read what you wrote.
Sometimes it’s quite a mystery as to what happens and where things go…a glitch of some sort. Sorry about that. I’m fairly certain that it wasn’t done purposely. I mean, in other forums I’ve been to, if they delete yer post fer content and/or verboten wordage, they at least send you a slap on the wrist in yer inbox. Did you get any sort of warning email? If not, I’d just chalk it up to shit happens, and repost. Like I said, I’d like to see what you wrote.
Ciao!
I must agree with you on your story James it is Wrong to go to a fortune teller and thats exactly what they do take your small fortune…lol
I always ridiculed the idea that anyone could hold psychic powers…until an office party where the ‘entertainment’ was such a person. After everyone had met with her in the little coatroom and had come out looking ashen, I agreed to do it, even tho’ it was surely hogwash…that is until she held my open palm and began to tell me things that neither she nor anyone in that crowd could have known. I sought her out again a couple of years later, and had an equally interesting reading with some useful advice, but mostly reassuring predictions about the near future. More recently I’ve consulted with a woman in Queens, NY about some extremely worrying matters. She made on-the- money accurate predictions, to the very day of certain events. During trips to India I thought it would be fun to experience the Hindu version of fortelling, and again, was dumbfounded by the information. In my experiences, it has always been accurate, and it has never been costly. I do think that one has to be open and ‘available’ to receive. Friends have gone with me in some instances and received very little, but they were skeptics to begin with. And perhaps it is my Cornish ancestry - we’re great believers in piskies and “things that go bump in the night”.
Yes, I’ve had an out of body experience. I was in labor with my daughter at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and I lifted out of my body and hung in the corner of the room and watched them do their thing with me. Daughter almost died, but made it thank God. Don Rickles wife was my room-mate for a time - she move to a private room across the hall. May 9, 1970. Sigh. CBerns
