My birthday wish is that you pick Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska who is a firecracker - or Meg Whitman CEO of Ebay. Both powerful and amazing women. And that you live to be at least as old and healthy as your mother - and her twin sister (94).

Happy Birthday, Senator McCain. I appreciate your years of service to our country and I have admired and respected you in the past. However, I too wish you many happy and healthy years as the Senator from Arizona, because I believe the torch has been passed to the next generation. You will be needed for your wise counsel as we meet the challenges of the future.

I wish McCain happiness, health and longevity for his great service to this country. But I do not wish him the presidency, because he holds onto too many of the II-Bush beliefs that are sinking this country. Also, he might want to cross his fingers over this Sarah Palin controversy that’s unfolding already!

Everyone deserves a Happy Birthday and Sen. McCain is no exception. So, yes…have a great one John. Enjoy your home life today, no matter which one you choose to be in for your birthday. My birthday wishes for you are: a heart for the less fortunate, courage to end the negative attack ads, a brain that can remember where you live and ruby slippers that you can click three times to get you home…to Arizona.

I take back my earlier Happy Birthday message John. I still wish you many healthy years ahead as SENATOR, but not “happy birthday” because you have care so much more for your own selfish need to be president that you would choose a VP who is not fit to be leader of this country if you should die in office, merely because you thought a young-woman combination would get you some votes! Shame on you.

My birthday wish for John McCain is that he find himself. After all, he has been missing in action for over two years now. The John McCain who was opposed to torture, against tax cuts for the rich, pro-choice, suspicious of the influence of evangelicals in politicals, against ethanol, supporting campaign finance reforms and once even supported an immigration reform bill that would have permitted a temporary worker program. That John McCain is missing in action. This new John McCain has even reached out to Texas he previously publicly accused of corruption for support in the election. The person who looks like John McCain has changed his positions on all those issues and more. But he should enjoy his birthday. And since he shares it with Michael Jackson, maybe they could both celebrate their birthdays together.
