Careful parenting, excellent teaching in our public school system, and knowledge of other religions. Sometimes I think that if George Bush had any inkling of the various religions in Iraq we would never have invaded. You would think Croatia would have been a learning experience for him.

Kermie …… My condolences on the loss of your friend ………. Thank you for sharing this with us. Stress is a vindictive condition that lashes out when you least expect it. Stress combined with sleep deprivation is also a very dangerous cocktail. This is a growing health concern for women of all ages …….

……….. let it begin with “right here, right now” …………. I write this in honor of my Mother who was finally able to free herself from the violence on September 6, 1991. She remains free of it to this very day!

My wish is that the posters here could all argue all they want, but that we find a way to do so that embraces all points of view — that is of course unless someone is trying to convert me to their religion, or of course unless someone uses language that isn’t appropriate according to, well, me, or of course unless their opinion is not based on the facts as I know them, and unless of course they’re not in the political party that is mine, and unless of course … Hey, peace is hard work. It takes more than a wish and prayer …

Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with “me”. I pray that the way I live my life will somehow encourage others to live his or her life with a non-violent way and with charity and generous spirit. I have no contacts to influence the great minds of today, nor funds to help the UN. All I have to give is who I am and my actions as an example of how a peaceful life is what this world should be. The line if I remember is a part of a song? Yes? “Let there be peace on earth, a peace that was ment to be. With God as our fathers, brothers all are we. Let me live with my brother in love and harmony.” We may not see this in our lifetime, but, if star trek has any positive influence in the future, let it be with this as a goal of gobal peace……Leading by example, we can do this. One person at a time….Here is hoping Peace for all long after this week has ended.
