Liz Smith: A Trophy Wife?

If I could switch careers today, I would like to be one of those young trophy wives with everything still ahead of me, working hard to reassure that investment banker or Google-type inventor entrepreneur that it should all be put in my name. I’ve been a fool about money all my life and in my second “career” I would put myself in a ”business” where I could change that circumstance.

I’ve already had soooooooo many different careers from Seasonal Park Ranger (fire fighter), Ski Tech, Archery Instructor for the Girl Scouts and Swimming Instructor, Music Teacher, English Teacher, Adult Protective Services Investigator, etc… However, the most fun I’ve ever had at a job I was not getting paid for. I used to love and still love to build sets for the theatre. I did this as a volunteer at the University I went to for 8 years. So, if I have to pick, it would be the theatre. However, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t write a story. And if you ask my friends they will tell you that they can’t keep me from singing in the car. So, I guess you could add Author and Singer as careers I’d like to have as well.

A math teacher. I’d serve as a model for women wanting to go into a technical arena.

In the last 120 days I have done exactly this. I have started my own company Roadrunner Talent and Media. My company offers three services to musicians, managing, booking and PR services. I am having the time of my life. I no longer sell consumer goods to retail stores.
