If you were to receive only one Valentine's Day gift, what would you want it to be?

AMEN. I couldn’t come up with anything except for “money to pay down my credit balance” but yours was great too. lol
Unfortunately, I can’t grant your wish, but your comment made me want to ask where you are looking, and in which industry…
I’m not a recruiter or manager or anything like that, and I know these times are tough… be sure to use your "network" and see what’s out there. If there is nothing in your current circle of friends in family, try to expand your circle by joining a professional network/club/organization. The more people you know, the more chances you have. Plus, the extra referrals and references can’t hurt…
Good luck!
A call from my son, who hasn’t been the best at keeping contact since moving to PA. Just a “hey mom, I am doing okay”. That would be the best Valentine!
just call him Linda!
is he on facebook, write i love you on his wall, his friends will razz him
Happy Valentine’s Day! Enjoy your weekend!
Love Ruth
If we equate Valentines Day to a time of love and caring as we truly should,
it then should not be the gift we receive on that day — but instead, what resides in our hearts for those we hold near and dear. I truly believe that is the love we give - not only on this day - but tender all year round, letting those we care for so deeply know in words - and particularly in deeds we do - that life would be far less without them as part of it is the warmest, the greatest of all life’s gifts.
Joan,
I send you the best gift of all…………my love to you. Thank you for being my friend.
Have a lovely day with your husband.
I will miss mine………..but I’m going to baby sit my great grandsons, so that will be fun.
GIVING love , as you will be doing tomorrow in a big hugging celebration of family together is priceless. Bring them close and you will find that the warmth in your heart will heat up the entire West. And then I will add my own love to you and the blaze should be a really really big one!!!!! Joan
I liked those little hearts, Joan, that you’d get as a kid - the ones with the little sayings on them. It was fun to compare what you had compared to the other kid.
You said it all, girlfriend, you said it all.
A great Valentine day and every day a Valentine day to you and Paul.
Jeannot … another one with family all sitting close, three doggies vying for your attention at your feet OR on your lap giving puppy love non-stop, so stop and smell the roses — the true blessings that remain whole and who adore you - as why wouldn’t they, as this lady is one of a kind. The very best kind!!!!! Joan
Joan,
I agree, but with all my heart, of hearts, I’d love to wake up on Valentine’s Day to the news that both houses of congress passed a Resolution that they would work together for the betterment of America, and support the Office of the President, and put people before things, and corporations, and never again pander to corporations (as they just did in this so-called new stimulus bill). My heart would swell with more joy than I’ve ever know.
Alas, that is being in lust, not love, I realize, but it would for Valentine’s Day.
My mother, when she was alive, used to buy me a little box of chocolates, and that’s all I’ve ever gotten on Valentine’s. In the future, I hope to be able to give someone something.
