Candice Bergen on 'Murphy Brown': 'I Was Exhausted But Very Happy'

I would like to stay the age I am right now. Or, no, wait — 20 years ago when my daughter was three and I was doing "Murphy Brown" and I was exhausted but very happy and fulfilled.

Liz Smith: Age 28

I wouldn’t really mind being the age I am, unless I got the chance to go back to being 28 but not having to live the life I lived when I was 28. I want to live right now!

Joan Ganz Cooney: Age 50 Is 'Young Enough'

I’d like to be 50 again. You’re young enough at 50 to hope there’s lots of new, good things ahead, and old enough to appreciate them when they happen.

Why Mary Wells Says Poor Benjamin Button

I don’t want to return to any age, any period in my life, no matter how wonderful. I want to learn and I need to move forward and have new experiences to learn.

Joan Juliet Buck Would Be 35 Again ... Under These Conditions

Jane Wagner Prefers to Forever Be 40-Something

I would like to be 40 – but with stem cell research more advanced than it is today, so I could have access to them and be relongevitized to be forever 40-something.

Sheila Nevins Loves 'Almost Old'

I’d like to stay where I am. For time to stay still. I’d like to be just 20 pounds thinner. I love almost old. I like the wisdom of aging and the absence of needing to pursue romance and youthful beauty.

Well, physically, 40…no doubt, I was at my personal best then. But, wisdom and spiritually, I am where I need to be. Be careful with this question: Shoulda, woulda, coulda are dangerous traps we need to avoid.

Physically, I’d like to be in my late 20’s when most everything worked, nothing ached and I didn’t need any maintenance medication. I’d like to be younger while keeping all my life experience (and the Lasik surgery).

I don’t mind aging even though the image in the mirror isn’t reflecting back the way I see myself mentally. Each year I live brings new things in my life. I couldn’t go forward if I were held back or returned to another age. I have confidence in myself and my abilities today that I didn’t have when I was younger. I am not afraid to take risks because I am beyond the point of caring what other people think. Going younger would not be an option.

Many of you have hit on it - I’d love to go back to 27, when my kids were little, but I’d want to know what I know now. Can’t have it both ways, I guess.

yeah mugsy….great response. for me, it’s not so much being a certain age again as it is, the life adventures i had at certain ages. every year has brought gifts, blessings and lessons. what’ll be a phenom is when i can vacation in those time frames again for maybe a day or week and send myself postcards.

Age 24 for me. October 21st, 1991, in the delivery room as my lovely daughter was born and my mom was right there holding my hand. Knowing now that I’d lose them both within the five years that followed, I’d have savored every single moment a little bit more.

Marilyn One of the reasons I put age 41 was because I gave birth to my youngest son and my mother was there as well. At 41 I had a natural birth with no anesthetic with my mom holding my hand. I lost her almost 2 years later, and I still miss her. Bless your big heart.

Blessings to you as well. I’m sure your son must be a beautiful reminder of that moment with your mother :) As for having a natural birth at 41 with no anesthetic…wow! You rock :)

If I could “know then what I know now” — I wouldn’t mind going back for a redo on somthings. Aside from that, I like where I am just fine.
