How the heck did we suddenly get so many men on this site? They have (too) many sites of their own. There is freedom speaking just to women, even if it is on the internet.

Ki B—I am fine with the nice men like Dan, Frank, The Count, etc who express themselves without putting women down….M Klien and George Wu will get a does of me everytime they do it…..They have a LOT of nerve….

No-one. And before anyone asks, I don’t miss it. I am 57 years old now. A few years ago I was going to join a women’s media group and one question on the application form was “What is your sexuality?” My immediate response was “mind your own business”, then I thought I’d write “celibate”.

Now that’s what I call Sexual Freedom in the highest degree: Free to not do it! Not for me but …I rejoice in your decision all the same.

Merrie, you can’t “miss” something you’ve never had. But you are “missing out” on part of the human experience, whether that’s a good or bad thing is of course totally up to you. As for me, too many to count until the last two years, then it’s NO ONE…and high tide I got back on the horse.

Okay, Snarkula, say I am talking to my girlfriends about hot flashes and other exclusively female issues, and I see a man listening in. I don’t feel as open in the discussion then, especially if I know that man feels free to just jump in and talk also. Do you see my point? I love all men, just not in my personal/internet (ironic, huh?) conversations.

Sometimes feels like too many, and other times it feels like not enough.

Reading everyones comments has been delightful…it has made me question the blind devotion to the marriage vows I made 18 years ago… because to pass up the gorgeous ones who you know that you will connect at that level with, can be wistfully hmmmm…on the other hand… there is a time and place for everything and something about that almost going there but not quite that has us all on the edge of desire…and that building of desire…that state of wanting can be powerfully delicious. WOndering if indeed the deed is going to happen through the wild flirtation and living with the what if…. I don’t know…Is the idea of doing it just as powerful as the act? Or more? I had my share…engaged to three at once in different countries in my silly 20’s….I just couldn’t say no. Then.

have to agree with Mugsby Peasbody - that when there was a ‘with’ there wasn’t really time or need or desire to sleep; oh to be young again!!
