Sheila Nevins: 'I'd Like to Take President Bush to Arlington Cemetery'

I’d like to take President George W. Bush to Arlington Cemetery, Section 60 — where soldiers lie buried from the war in Iraq. Median age about 25. I’d like it to rain on him with the volume of tears he has caused. Drenched with this sorrow, I would like him to light a candle at each gravesite and pause and reflect on the agony of these losses. Cheney should go with him and kiss this hallowed ground.

What Do Birthdays and George W. Bush Have in Common for Mary Wells?

As I keep saying, I don’t believe birthdays are good for my health. I don’t think George is good for my health either.

Liz Smith: He's Not Worth My Time

I will leave the worst president in our history to heaven. Nothing will be served in making him face up to being a war criminal. And a liar and traducteur of the constitution. Let us move on.

Remember that AC says what she says to anger you (if you’re a lefty) and sell books (if you’re a righty). She gets off/gets rich on your reaction to her. When you get angry at her, you give her power. Don’t let her bait you. Ignore her, and she’ll lose interest and go bother somebody else. Shall we save our responses for more worthy opinions?

I wish for G W to go to his ranch in Texas like tout de suite . Stay there and go rattle snake hunting with Cheney.

I wish for him and Ann Coulter to take a six month vacation together in the mountains of Afghanistan visiting his pal Bin Laden.

And be sure and take big Dick along. I mean Cheney. And how about asking Coulter along for the stay, too?? But only six months?? How about six years. Sixty years? Who thinks up these questions? I mean, WoWoW are you serious? OK, I see. It’s tongue in cheek. But, it’s not funny.

Oh my. I didn’t expect to see a post by her (I can’t bring myself to type her name) on this site. I know it’s probably just to rile us up a bit, and I can say with all sincerity that I am riled. Yikes.

Just Go away………..far far away. Maybe to the middle of the battle fields of Iraq…………that would be a good place for you to be on your birthday. You are the most despicable President this Country has ever had. We deserve better.

Dona—Having lived in Carmel, and in Santa Barbara, two towns adjacent to the big fires that have destroyed 800 sq. miles….I am livid when think of all the damage done by this deranged, despicable individual. Our National Guard is off fighting his phony war to enrich Haliburton and Exxon, an destroy two other countries, while beautiful California is burning up for lack of resources. The firefighters are stretched thin, and because Bush refuses to declare an disaster (ie it’s an ‘emergency’) thus there are no extra funds that are needed esp for housing for all the displaced people. http://www.californiaprogressreport.com/2008/07/feds_say_califo.html Today I walked through the Presidio. Can remember it from childhood…if anything much more beautiful today due to responsible management. Adjacent Chrissy Field all along the Bay, also. Such a monument of excellent urban planning and responsible use of natural resources so they greatly benefit the public while also protecting the resource. All the natural wildlife, tidal pools, sand dunes etc all have been brought back and so many people out enjoying it in a way that sustains it. And that piece of merde occupying the WH is letting our beloved California go up in smoke for lack of resources because they’ve all gone into the pockets of war profiteers. It is disgusting beyond words…at least words that could be used here. If Our Founding Fathers were alive Bush Inc would have been dealt with long ago. We deserve better, the world deserves better. He destroyed so much in 8 years it is breathtaking…I hope he burns in hell for eternity.

Heh. I share a birthday with President Bush, and all I would say is I hope he does the same that I do every year. Consider the year you’ve just completed, and think about how you can do better in the next. There are always ways to be a better spouse, parent, sibling, child, friend, and public servant. Happy Birthday to us (and Sylvester Stallone, too)!
