Sheila Nevins: 'I'd Like to Take President Bush to Arlington Cemetery'

I’d like to take President George W. Bush to Arlington Cemetery, Section 60 — where soldiers lie buried from the war in Iraq. Median age about 25. I’d like it to rain on him with the volume of tears he has caused. Drenched with this sorrow, I would like him to light a candle at each gravesite and pause and reflect on the agony of these losses. Cheney should go with him and kiss this hallowed ground.

What Do Birthdays and George W. Bush Have in Common for Mary Wells?

As I keep saying, I don’t believe birthdays are good for my health. I don’t think George is good for my health either.

Liz Smith: He's Not Worth My Time

I will leave the worst president in our history to heaven. Nothing will be served in making him face up to being a war criminal. And a liar and traducteur of the constitution. Let us move on.

Hi Mary Lou!

The quote is the brainchild the Ad Council and United Negro College Fund for a public service advertising campaign . The campaign slogan, “A Mind is a Terrible Thing To Waste,” has remained unchanged for more than three decades.

Dan Quale addressing the United Negro College Fund, actually said:

“You take the United Negro College Fund model that what a waste it is to lose one’s mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is.”

Hysterical, no?

LOL!

Well people have said that Bush Sr. picked Quayle as his VP, because he reminded him of junior!

If you want a good laugh, look up Quayles’ quotes.

If you want to watch a great YouTube, check out this 1:11 minute gem, of Lloyd Bentsen and Dan Quayle, considered by many to be one of the best verbal put downs in debate history “Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine”

Thank you President Bush for the tax cuts you gave our family and the additional child credits. It’s helped us enormously. Thank you for keeping us safe for 7 1/2 years, when almost no one thought it was possible. Thank you for fighting for those without a voice in Africa and, according to Bono, creating more improvement than all the previous presidents combined. People here may not appreciate you for it, but those Africans who are helpless, sick and dependent, and now have some relief, absolutely do. Thank you for liberating 50 million people and giving them the right to vote. An Iraqi citizen says: “The turnout in Iraq was really like nothing that I had expected. I was glued in front of tv for most of the day. My mother was in tears watching the scenes from all over the country. Iraqis had voted for peace and for a better future, despite the surrounding madness. I sincerely hope this small step would be the start of much bolder ones, and that the minority which insists on enslaving the majority of Iraqis would soon realise that all that they have accomplished till now is in vain. “Another surprise was to see some Iraqis who had fled the country in fear of reprisals, such as the families of ex-regime figures and ex-Ba’athists, actually voting and encouraging others to vote! I know some of those from school and college and I imagined they would be bitter about the whole process, but many were not.” http://healingiraq.blogspot.com/archives/2005_01_01_healingiraq_archive…. God bless you Pres. Bush for having the courage and vision to see this through, and thank you for restoring dignity to the White House.

The US won WWII in under 4 years on multiple fronts. Iraq: a country that didn’t launch one plane the night of Shock and Awe when the US attacked a defenseless urban center of 5M people, 50% children under 15 asleep in their beds. I’ve been thinking we should talk to the Italians and buy Elba for him; that would save us the $16,000,000 a year we are going to have to spend for security after he leaves office. And there’s room for the entire administration. Maybe the French could make us a little uniform with a feathered cap, like Napoleon had? I’m sure the entire world would love to see them someplace where they can do little harm and we can keep an eye on them. Rove, Chaney, certainly, and Rumsfield. We wouldn’t want George to get lonely…..
