Can you imagine what it feels like to be in his shoes? I wuld not want to be him for anything. Someday his actions are going to come back to haunt him and meanwhile he has to live with the awful harm he has done, for the rest of his life. He is a sad, bad man president.

Ladies, you bring new meaning to the phrase “birthday bash.”
If any one of you saw a single line of the daily intel briefing that the President receives from the DCI or Joint Chiefs, you would faint. If you read the whole thing you would toss a handful of Nembutal in your mouth and wash it down with a tumbler of vodka.
This is not the presidency that Bush wanted, but there are people out there who want to kill us, and are working on it 24/7. I thank God every day that he has been strong and steady.
At every turn the national press, and the Democrats have done their best to crush him and our economy—-and Bush just takes it. You are willfully deaf, dumb and blind.
Ladies, kindly purge my registration from your data system, and I’ll do the same on my end. This chick is outta here.
I am in wholehearted agreement with Fontessa, altho’ I’m not outta here. I’ll stick with WoW, altho’ I sure am getting tired of feeling like it’s being run by the Obama campaign! Happy Birthday, GW - and many more. I wouldn’t have been in your shoes for the past-almost-eight-years for all the money and whatever in the world! Thank you for bringing dignity back to the office of the President of the United States. Those who have NO idea of the responsibilities and stress you have faced over the years - the difficult decisions you’ve had to make - and the flak you’ve had to take - make me want to cringe. It’s embarrassing to read some of these posts - and I can only imagine the reactions of those who hate this country and wish to see us annihilated when they read some of this clap-trap. So, Happy Birthday, Mr. President, with my sincerest wishes for a truly joyful day with your lovely family.
Fontessa-
It must be difficult for you living in the USA. The Associated Press did a poll asking the American public to vote for the biggest villain of 2006, and the results were reported on MSNBC…see video tape below.
The public was given these choices: Saddam, Osama bin Forgotten, Kim Jong II, the Pres of Iran, Satan and President 6-Pack.
Bush was choosen by a wide margin. SATAN was more popular than Bush by wide margin!

Oh, and heckler’s didn’t like him at his July 4th speech either, yelling “War Criminal” and “He brought fascism to this shore” and other truths like that. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/politics/blog/2008/07/bush_heckled_…
Fontessa,
And for a few years now he has been getting reports that the Taliban is growing stronger, but never supported our troops there.
He also got reports about the growing rise of terrorism in Pakistan. Pakistan helped from the very beginning and in exchange Bush was to help them get rid of their terrortist. But, he broke that promise and now Pakistan has become a greater haven for terrorists.
So, I don’t see how he has been protecting us when the only war he wanted to fight was his Daddy’s war and used lies to convince us there were weapons of mass destruction. Meanwhile the rest of the region is growing stronger against us and now we have to wonder about Iran.
Way to go George!! I feel so safe—NOT!
Carol…on the Lily/Jane thread you say you are moving out tomorrow. Have you already said why? Where are you going? I will miss your viewpoint.
I have no best wishes for him! I will tell you what I wish!
I wish:
VA benefits are restored to treat our men and women in the military (that includes mental health services).
that our economy was stronger, that we were in a bear market , our debt down and the surplus we had when President Clinton left office.
that Gore presidency was not stolen.
for Ann Coulter to go play in traffic.
I stand by this man. I stand by this man, because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands on things, things like aircraft carriers and rubble and recently flooded city squares. And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to America, she will always rebound with the most powerfully staged photo-ops in the world.

Deni G,
Good one, don’t you just love Colbert. I’ve missed seeing you on the site, but see you over at Lily’s. Have a great weekend.
Hi Elizabeth!
I love the man who sans the T. I miss him and Jon Stewart, when they take time off. What would we do without them?
I did leave a long post at Lily’s under“Good Day, Sunshine ” heading (Thursday, July 3, 2008).
Her place is lovely and I am always sure to be charmed and enlightened there, as I am at mugsy’s. I would not have known of Jane and Lily’s 4th of July hot dog road trip, had it not been for them.
Thanks!!
