How Marlo Thomas Gets Happy

I exercise daily, get a massage when I can and spend fun, quality time with my husband. You know that whole healthy body-healthy mind thing everyone’s always talking about? It ain’t a cliché.

Candice Bergen: Top Six Self-Indulgences

It seems all I do is for myself. But I exercise as often as possible. I read. Love being in bed with all the dogs watching the Olympics or watching anything. "Animal Planet" because that gets the dogs crazy. Hanging with a few friends. Being with my daughter doing anything is the best. Hanging with my hubby.

Joan Ganz Cooney: Naps Are the Best

The best thing I do for me is take a nap in the afternoon and then read the newspapers that I haven’t had time to read earlier in the day.

The Six Ways Liz Smith Pampers Herself

Stay home. Stop answering my phone. Watch the evening news from bed. Order Chinese takeout. Go through books and watch TV at the same time. Look for a great movie on Turner Classics.

The best thing I can possibly do for myself, is spend a portion of my day getting to know my heavenly Father on a more deeper level Staying close to God brings such a peace….That no matter what is going on in the world, I’m A-OK!

I enjoy just sitting and looking at the net like I am now. If I could I would go out dancing everynight Since I can not do that I dance and clean at the same time. While my husband is at work I enjoy the time I have alone. As a recovered stroke victim I live everyday and am greatful… I have been blessed to recover to about 97%.. My husband tells me he is proud of my determination… I can walk, talk sing and Dance… Thanks be to the One on High… Everyday is MY TIME

The Best thing I do for me is take time off to do a little of everything I like. Even if some of my likes are not reachable right now, like going into a mall that’s three blocks or two big, I still say to myself that one day, I’ll go into one. You know, like having hope that what u want will happen. I wake up everyday with thoughts in my head telling me that it’s going to be a dull day, but I MAKE it fun for me. Even if it’s not other people’s type of fun, I like it. I watch The View now, since school is closed and I love that show so much. Then I wait for CSI Miami to show and then Crossing Jordan. After that I go onto the internet to come here and read posts from the ladies. U see? Life is supposed to be a happy journey and the only way to do that is to try a little bit of everything u like that u CAN do now for urself. Mostly though, I believe I love people too much than I like myself. I raise my hopes by dreaming that one day I’ll meet my role models and I’ll become an actress in Hollywood. That’s GOOD FOR ME. Because its what I want and when I believe that there is a slight possibility that I will get to that someday, that’s the best thing I can do right now for myself. Love, Felicia

A long walk on the beach….It’s best done during this time of the year when the seasons are changing. Not too cold not too hot….but just right.

The best thing to do for myself was to enter a different environment for a week: Just returned from a wilderness trip in the Washington Sawtooth Mountains. Had to hike in for 7 hours over a steep pass, lived in my tent, did camp chores together with 11 camper friends, listened to the coyotes and contemplated my life. Conclusion: Life is good as long as I am fit. It was wonderful to be away from phones and all worldly influences for a few days.

Sometimes I think that I would enjoy walking on a mountainside alone, with the cool wind whipping through my hair. I would enjoy that so much, it would just take away all my worries and negative thoughts about life. I love the wind so much.
