Coffee! let me tell you, Sheila, Dunkin Donuts is waaay up there already with Starbucks…The prices have gone up 2x already this year alone! It’s crazy. I think that’s about the dumbest thing I spend money on…daily!!!!!!!!
-art supplies for projects I never get to do.
-bowling sidepots now that my average sucks.
-almost any yard sale item that duplicates what I already have or what I really don’t need but I find comes in useful for theatre props. Now, if I could only collect a rental on the stuff I’ve bought (mannequins for example, what home is complete without 8 or 9 mannequins)?
healthclub membership that Im a slacker at going to! Halloween costumes for kids where they use for one day!!! (I so wish I learned to sew) , endless weightloss pills, shakes, etc, oh THe EPILADYWHOTHOUGHTOFTHATONE??
Organics, vitamins, my serious lifelong addiction to orange juice. Makeup….Shelia’s right. Just spent $33 for a bottle of make-up remover when Ponds is just as good. Live nicely but not materialistic as a freak on order and dislike clutter. What I waste (lately, and mostly due to shattered foot) is time, not $. And that makes me very irked with myself as usually extremely efficient and accomplishment oriented.
Rose - I’m with you on the wasted veggies. Everytime I start a new healthful “regime” I stock up totally on the veggies first and I last about 2 days on the program (and THE man won’t eat most veggies). Most expensive is probably skin care and makeup-that I never seem to get rid of and of course online supplements that promise INSTANT whatever!
Sharon, I’ve tried lots of dif supplements for 30 years (“Prescription for Nutritional Healing” is a favorite book) if you’ve never tried it, can honestly say feel immediate benefit from “Alive Protein Powder” it has all the fruit/vegs in it…I put in blender w/OJ and lots of either strawberries, banana, papaya etc, for breakfast. http://www.herbalremedies.com/alive-shake1.html
Had no symptoms whatsoever from menopause when taking this. But I realize things work differently with different people. When run out and don’t get over to Whole Foods to restock, feel a difference. You can also put it in V8 juice with vegtables and into the blender.
Just a minute now, let me check my closet! No, wait! Telephone calls, for god’s sake. Let’s see if we look at at least $100 a month for 12 months is $1200 times 40 years…. Um-um-um…. (Insert pause to blanch in embarrassment.) UNDEREARNING!!!!! And, oh, yes, credit cards and other debt service. Growing up financially has its rewards. Just bought a very very nice Honda Accord paid cash no payments thank you very much. I particularly like the no payments part. Did I mention that? No interest, either. Can we have more than 3???
Molton Brown bath products. Good towels and linen… lunch I could make for a 5th of the price myself. Travel to see my friends who seem to drift further and further across country every year.
Oh I spend ALOT on Magazine subscriptions (of course this is not dumb in my book). Now archiving them the way I do…. that may be another story! :) Also, if I am anywhere in the vicinity (far and few between) CHOCOLATEMALTPLEASE! Soooo yummy! Hmmmm…. am I up for a 20 mile drive now?
