I’ve got a brand new lease on life after the radiologist gave me the all clear after my breast ultrasound this afternoon! Can’t stop smiling.
Thank goodness, Irish Bell! That’s one I can relate to!!!!! “Mine” are both gone, now, but I’m not! (I’m far more than my body!)
You know, the thing was when I was lying there on that table, I wasn’t even thinking of my breast, i was thinking of my life- that I am not anywhere near finished with it yet! You are so right - we are so much more than our bodies.
Yes you are right~and you are within your body - it’s merely being leased, and you set the price. I well remember that noisy vacuum>/i> “on the table” when few realized what or “where” I was. However, I played Enya and a meditation lab CD from Stanford (healing sounds) during my surgeries ( the anesthesiologist later told me that they almost lulled him to sleep, too—didn’t think he could hear them).
Later, I could not understand why I could not use those CDs for mediation - anxiety shot through me like a rifle’s bullet. I was remembering the surgeries - all of them! Sheesh! If you ever do that, toss out the CDs afterward! It cost me about $700 with my analyst. For the next years, it was the waiting, over and over again and the repeated biopsies.
