Liz Smith's Golden Rule to Live By

I was raised in a strict Golden Rule household where we were told to cast our bread upon the waters so that it may be returned tenfold to us. I am still trying to live by that.  I do know how to be a good friend.  I don’t deserve any credit, however, for my generous nature. I am a coward, afraid to live any other way.

So graciously and eloquently stated, Maurine………we are the’architects’ and we make our ‘choices’. I find those words so empowering rather than overwhelming. I’ve learned not to say, “Why me?” but rather, “Why not me?” Thank you for sharing that. Peace and grace

Hi Beth, I saw Maurine’s comment to which you were responding further down on this thread, but am happy that yours zipped to the front by the comment genie. As always, a lovely thought. I hope you don’t mind that I used your words in the “What adage do you live by” thread, as yours (peace and grace) is one I aspire to - with varying degrees of success.

Kitty, we should all be so lucky. Those words have helped me so many times. I’ve learned that I speak volumes when I close my mouth and listen intently. I understand so much better what is going on when I stop running in circles. I see so much better when I look with my heart as well as my eyes. To forgive and be forgiven, to seek peace and be granted grace. Amen. Peace and grace

Kitty is that you? I’ve missed your reasonable responses to this place and it’s hot headed statements. Welcome back if it’s you. Bev.

Beverly, from the dates on the other posts, I think this is a thread from August. I too was excited to see Kitty back; I miss her. Maybe if we let her know how much she’s missed, she will return. Unfortunately, Kitty, I believe, chose to stop posting because she felt bad about her words on the rare occasion. She is a woman of intelligence, grace and compassion. Hope she reads our pleas. Peace and grace

Beth, I wrote that before I realized it was from August. I miss the conversations we used to have that included her. Thank you. Bev.

I have what I call my spiritual toolbox, I don’t call them gifts, but a collection of tools that I can use. I use them in different mix and match forms, but often use the remote with energy for distant healing. And when it is not distant, I use what I have hands on, or at hospitals which is sometimes a feat in itself, but when there is a match between the desire for the healing, the universe being accepting for the requester, seeing the person light up is wonderful. I am well aware, that on the physical plane those requests to restore and perfect does not always mean a physical life, my own mother taught that lesson to me. But I use my toolbox on request, and as I am shown for my purpose in life. Blessings, Linda

Frannie, It is definiitely a spontaneous existence. I have never uesd the same combination of tools on two different people in the same way. You just follow the roadmap you are given in that moment, and have faith in what you are doing. Blessings, Linda

I work alot with cancer patients, when the docs give up then I get contacted. But I have seen the miracles happen time and again. Working with 5% odds, and do all you can do in being the channel. I start working with a new lung cancer contact on Friday, she is firm in hope which is a great building block! I have never charged a cancer patient for help, after watching my step-dad many years ago in his battle with lung cancer and my mom working all day and trying to be there for him also, they have enough going on, to not just have to worry about more obligations. So far, I have only seen one of them give up the battle, and he was affirmed in the belief is was his destiny to leave this world. At that point, it is a mission of comfort. One night a year ago last Christmas, I just had this rush inside of me to fill him with energy. The next day I found out he was leaving this world at the same time the night before. Blessings, Linda

Living and loving what life washes onto my shore. It has been tough, but a great lesson in letting go and putting love before fear. Haven’t always been successful, but when I do, and am honest about who I am and where I am in my life the “realness unfolds”. “God Is”

Frannie, your post reminds me of a quote I like, “let go and let God”

My family and my family of friends. I love them and accept them just as they are. They love me and accept me just as I am. Unconditional love, unfettered, geniune. And with that, grace. All that we need, we already have.
