HIllary wrote a letter to American Axle’s CEO to stop the strike that is hurting the economy- American Axle’s CEO is asking to cut workers wages in half while the CEO has already cut thousands of jobs with 2 buy outs and has built several overseas plants - while making millions in profit. Hillary is action and out there with concrete actions. McCain & Obama are not. Obama isn’t even attending MLK event in Memphis and that is not any policy action to fix this country. Why? Cowardice? Hillary stands up for the American worker - THANKYOUHILLARY - without jobs this country will never get back on its feet. Please donate whatever you can to keep this energizer bunny working for America’s well being. She is tough and tackles head on the most daunting issues the others shy away from or only give lip service to. I also cannot believe how many elders are being led by the nose by their children’s & grandchildren’s opinions as to who to support (i.e. Carter, Caroline Kennedy etc) - but then elders have been super indulgent to this younger generation - me included to a point. Go HILLARY! DONATEFORHILLARY to show your support and backing as well as to give her the fuel she needs to get her message across. GOHILLARY&THANKYOU for the LETTER for the working and middle class!!! BTW I would be consisdered wealthy but I am happy to see action to strengthen the backbone of this country - our foundation must be strong.
I think Hillary is going to make a great president. But my second choice would me my local congress woman Marcy Kaptur. Maybe Clinton/Kaptur could be the ticket.
Oprah? Oh please!!! Give me a break. If we can’t have Hillary-I’ll go with Whoopie. A very intellegent woman who knows what this country needs. I’d skip on Ellen though. I say Joy Behar. Another intellegent woman.
My vote would be Marlo Thomas, Hillary Clinton, Jackie Kennedy and Eleanor Roosevelt. Beauty, brains, integrity, soul, compassion, strength, there you go.
hey guys…what about condi as president and judge judy as attorney general and oh yeah, oprah as vice pres..great kick ass team if you ask me..brains, guts and extreme empathy for us and health care..curbing violence and able to guide family, singles and children towards a fair better life for us females.with again..brains.!
I’m still not counting Hillary out. I hope she goes to the Convention and outsmarts the naysayers. I hope she can do it in a positive non-divisive way. The pace that supposed friends desserted her for the star of the day is truly astounding to me. She paid her due, has done her work and deserves the opportunity to do better for this country than many of her male predecessors have. This is her time in history and he is an inexperienced interloper as far as I’m concerned.l
I think whatever happens now, we should be building national name recognition for the current crop of female state governors — Janet Napolitano of Arizona, Kathleen Sibelius of Kansas and Christine Gregoire of Washington State. Traditionally, more governors have won the presidential-politics sweepstakes than, say, senators, perhaps because voters perceive governorships as more parallel to the presidnetial job description. This year, of course, is an exception: by now we know we’re guaranteed to have a sitting senator win the presidency for the first time since JFK — everyone who’s not a sitting senator, and a few who are, has left the race.
There is also a Republican governor of a New England state whose web site paints her as quite the moderate. But it will be a very long time before I trust any Republican, no matter how moderate and reasonable-sounding his or her principles may sound, with any office that essentially has the physical or economic power of life and death over me. So, to make this long post shorter: I hope we’ll see more from the fine Governors Sibelius, Napolitano and Gregoire.
I’m not giving up on Hillary either. She’s smart. She has experience. She’s been on the world stage and is comfortable there. She may have been Bill’s wife and learned a lot about the inner workings of the Presidency, but she was not President and should not be blamed for anything that didn’t go well nor should she be praised for the successes.
In former times I think of Eleanor Roosevelt, Barbara Jordan and definitely Ann Richards. Today I think of Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi. While I do not agree with their politics I think Elizabeth Dole and Condoleeza Rice would be possibilities. In the future I think of Chelsea Clinton although who knows what young women are out there just beginning their lives of public service!
Well I don’t know but it should not anyone who bites the head of their opponents off chews it up and spits it out. It should not be someone who acts menopausal. It should not be someone who resorts to tears to get her way. It should not be someone who rants and raves and blames someone else. It should not be someone who thinks she is one up on the men. It should be someone who has the class and dignity of Eleanor Roosevelt and Jackie Kennedy Onassis.
We need a real lady!
Hilary is just the right person to run. She is trying to run with the establishment showing it’s true colors. Gender bias is much more acceptable in this country than race bias is. I cannot think of any other woman in this country today that is more qualified then Hilary is. More power to her!
absolutely Hillary, right now is the most qualified….
i agree with Lily’s thoughts on this question and also Mugsy”s….RIGHTONLADIES!!!!
HILLARY….now’s the time, she’s smart, savvy, knows her way around the good ol’ boys networks, classy, withstood the tough questions, the hard balls the little ballers threw at her, and still standing….no time like the present to vote for her and support her….she will need our support,….if you voted for Eleanor Roosevelt, on the previous question of women on Mt.Rushmore, and B. Jordan, and E. Parks, and J. goodell,,,Susan B….this is our woman for this time!
