Liz Smith's Non-Surgical Facelift Story

No kidding, I say eye makeup. When I bother to fool with these old eyes of mine is when I go out and people demand to know if I’ve had a face lift. Visible eyebrows, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara make a real finishing touch to one’s look. Also, I know it’s old-fashioned but you can’t beat lipstick. And not that black or bright red stuff either if you are over 40.

Hi! Well, then I guess this will help me feel better about the fact that my trusty Clarisonic of three years died last week :) I miss it dearly, though, I really did notice a huge difference in my skin.  I’ll get around to buying another one eventually, it had becomes such a part of my morning routine.  Retina was awful for me, scared me enough to not even want to try anything similar. And I love your aunt’s attitude, too cute!

Drink water. Drink water. Drink water. Reduce stress. Laugh. Give others compliments - it will make you happy when you see how happy they are. A happy face is always attractive. Products: Loreal Bare Natural Mascara - My lashes are long, soft to the touch. My lashes feel like real lashes, not like mascara. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer - This stuff keeps your shadow on without creasing. Love it. Cover Girl Outlast Lip Color - this stuff stays on through everything you do. It doesn’t flake off or kiss off. This is my husbands favorite thing too!! A good bronzer that isn’t glittery - my recommendation - NARS. I’m Asian and matching my skin isn’t easy. NARS has great choices for a variety of skin tones. A great value too. The compact lasts forever!! Caudalie Beauty Elixir - it is refreshing and it sets your makeup. (I especially love it in the summer. I get overheated, I just spritz myself and I feel cooler and my skin looks great!!) Oil of Olay

I’m 59, going on 60, and have been mistaken for someone in their 40’s. My Best Beauty Tips: 1. Get plenty of SLEEP 2. Practice YOGA - it will make you feel beautiful from the inside - out! 3. DRINK PURE WATER (forget those vitamin/flavored waters, and absolutely NO SODAS) 4. Clinique and Elizabeth Grant for skin care. 5. THINK POSITIVE 6. BE GRATEFUL EVERY DAY FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS

I believe in natural beauty. I don’t wear any makeup. Thank goodness my husband hate’s all that stuff. I see friends who have worn makeup since they were teens now they can’t leave the house without “doing their face.” Staying out of the sun and tanning beds helps also.

At the age of 51 and trying literally every product available to keep my youthful appearance, (finally) my favorite discovery besides mineral makeup is AVON MagiX face primer. It is amazing and works better than the more expensive brands that I have tried. I have super oily skin (STILL) and large pores. MagiX keeps the oil at bay all day (the ONLY product I have EVER found that will do that), minimizes the appearance of large pores and smooths out your skin. It goes on so light you can’t even tell you have anything on your face. AND it has SPF 15 ! It feels nice that for once, I can share a secret rather than always looking for them!

A great beauty tip for us gals over 40: Smile in the front and slap a Sassybax bra across your back to keep you covered from both sides. (Take that, you frown lines and bra bulge!)
