I was just talking about Barbara Jordan with a friend this morning.. now THERE was a woman. And of course, Ann Richards (I truly miss her). Madeleine Albright and my high school english teacher, Miss Hotchkiss.

I honestly believe that women for the Lady Rushmore should be American, and also deceased. Women who are still living, whether worthy recognition or not in public opinion, still have many years to either continue to perform honorable works or to “fall from grace” so to speak. My choices would include Sacagawea, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Tubman, and Hellen Keller. With respect to Hillary Clinton, I do not feel that she has contributed as much to American society as some of the other wonderful women nominated.

I agree about Hillary. Her lies are finually catching up with her. Although she is a smart woman, she seems to be out for herself.

Abigail Adams, Eleanor Rooselvelt, Margaret Mead, Rosa Parks, and Niki Giovianni writing the tableau. Can’t we have back-ups? Marlo, you can make that happen. I raised my “kidlets” on your LP!

I’m surprised that no one in the first 10 pages has mentioned Sojourner Truth.

Barbara Jordan, Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt and Dolly Madison. But Britney Spears and Marilyn Monroe? Help. We might as well put Mae West and some Madams up there. Haha
