Absolutely, if it was Margaret Thatcher. I mean, how could you not feel safe with a women who tells the male American president, “Don’t go all wobbly on me!” during a war.

Am I the ONLY one who does not think Condoleezza Rice is smart enough to be president? I have listened to her and I just don’t see it. And just what has she done in her present position????? Hilary…..oh yes!!

Condi does nothing for me, either. She always seemed an amanuensis to soothe Bush. She goes to Camp David with them, etc. The office wife type. In one Bob Woodward book, he described her as sort of a secy. And not a secy of state, either.

Quite frankly my criteria for best Commander in Chief would not include gender at all.. Intellect, judgement, maturity, ethics, and conscience make for a better cirtieria upon which to select a Commander in Chief.

Renata, thank you for the NYT link. It is a recurrent notion for me that the mere mention of an idea, or action can impress upon the mind of a fool! Case in point is my own response to a woman who had cut me off in traffic. immediately out of my mouth was the derogatory exclamation from the archives of Dom Imus! not merely to bear my soul but to inquire about the readiness of the latent to active psychology! Limpbaugh, McCain, Huckabee, Hagee, and now Hillary! who is watching Black water now?!

To be sure I had never heard such a statement prior to Imus ’ insult! How readily the mind does assimilate the message! REPEAT MESSAGE REPEAT MESSAGE

Olbermann rant du jour: Hillary mentioned races that ended in June, one tragically, and is now accused of hinting at murder as a good campaign tactic for her. Come on, people. It’s laughable. No matter what happens about anything, she will get blamed.

Olbermann did not accuse Hillary “of hinting at murder as a good campaign tactic for her” he did say: “Not for a moment does any rational person believe Senator Clinton is actually **hoping** for the worst of all political calamities.” She was generally given the benefit of the doubt, by the media and defended by Robert Kennedy’s son. But her judgment in using these words, was called into serious question.

The so-called benefit of the doubt within a rant against her.

We need to stop focusing on man or woman, young or old, black or white and start focusing on the issues. That’ what’s really important. What does this “human” plan on doing if they are in the oval office as president.

Yes I would safe with a woman as President. However I do not think that Hillary is the one. But if she goes all the way and it is time to vote then I would vote for her, reluctantly. It is not that I am worried over her I just do not want her to be influenced by her husband, I never trusted him and I did not vote for him. At the same time I will never vote for McCain, I do not think he would do any good for all of us. So someone has to think of the Democratic Party and stop pulling it apart they need to reunite they really do not have all that long. To help stop McCain not get voted in we could use both Obama and a Hillary ticket, either way. Then I believe that the Democratic Party might just win and McCain would go away.
