Do you think Jackie Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy had an affair?

A new book by C. David Heymann alleges that RFK and John’s widow had an affair after JFK’s assassination. Do you believe it’s true?

I don’t believe there was an affair.  Jacqueline was destroyed by JFK’s death and Bobby was as well.  He tried to help and comfort her.  The bottom line for me is they are all dead; it isn’t really any concern.  I will not read the book; won’t contribute to the author’s greed.

As are the details of Michael Jackson’s life and of his children’s parentage, this story is none of our business.  I will not provide this author with any of my hard earned money.  If we do not support this kind of information, perhaps there will less of it.  I do not slow down and look at car wrecks either.

Maybe yes, maybe no.  It wouldn’t surprise me.  None of the men seem to have been exactly committed to their marriages and this is not a new allegation.  I am not fascinated by these people, though, so I won’t be reading the book.

Just have to add my "Amen" to ALL the above posts - and that, for me is a rarity.  I, too, will not buy, read or sensationalize by discussing the book, the affair or any other trash about these beloved people - "let them rest in peace" is the best statement of all!

At this point it doesnt seem irrelevant. IF it did happen, it was 40 years ago. And it seems as if it was two needy people that were there for each other when they were going through a bad patch. I love to gossip, but somehow these two seem as if they deserve more respect than to be gossiped about now since they are no longer with us. And the author is just out to make a quick buck. There are a million other books about the Kennedys that are less invasive if someone is interested in them.

Ugh, sorry there is no way to edit a post, mine above should read "this is no longer relevant", not irrelevant.

I wish I had some new words to express how very tired, sad, totally frustrated with all of the people, news and otherwise, that have to report every ounce of information that is discovered, uncovered, heard or whatever about celebrities and people in politics.  Why is it necessary for any of us to know who slept with whom, where, when and what time?  Honestly, this is getting out of hand.  Can’t we just let these people rest in peace for those that are already dead and the ones alive, just let it go please!! I love people and have always loved movie stars since I was a small child, but I never felt that I had to know all their intimate details. I have enough things going on in my own life. Leave these poor folks alone and look in the mirror and write about your own darn self. God bless you and don’t be mad because we all have a little something, something going on. (smile)

If this were true,I find it very hard to believe that there wouldn’t have been some inkling picked up and spread by the press before now.  It’s not completely inconceivable that it happened, but highly unlikely to have remained hidden all this time if it did.

Won’t read the book, don’t care what they did or didn’t do. They’re dead, let them (and their families) have a bit of peace, for God’s sake!

you forgot the option

"who cares if they did - does it really matter in the greater scheme of things?"

Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn!

They’re both dead.  How could it possibly be relevant in the world today to speculate endlessly about two iconic personalities?  Ridiculous.

It might not be relevant, but it remains interesting.

I choose not to believe it.  And I like others say "so what" if it is true.  I won’t read the book.  They were great people in great times…..that is what I like to remember.
