Drew Peterson Charged With Murder of Kathleen Savio; Suspect in Stacy's Death

Drew Peterson — the former police sergeant suspected in the disappearance of his young wife Stacy Peterson — was indicted yesterday for allegedly killing another former wife.

Kathleen Savio, who was Peterson’s third wife, was found dead in the bathtub in 2004. Police initially ruled the deal as an accidental drowning, but after Savio’s family shared that Kathleen said she was fearful of her husband, authorities began to investigate Peterson’s involvement in a possible homicide.

Peterson, 55, was charged with two first-degree murder counts. He is being held at an Illinois detention center with bond set at $20 million. If convicted, he could face 60 years in jail. His arraignment is scheduled for today.

In December, the ex-cop made headlines for a short-lived engagement with a 23-year-old.

I too feel the exact same way and was "hootin and hollerin" when it was announced on the news. In fact I was so giddy that I posted to you, LOL. I also thought what in the world is taking these police so long in arresting him and upon further study on it I realized that due to so many other cases, the Chicago police agencies were begining to look like the Keystone cops, a bumbling group of get nothing solved. So this time they decided to bring in more experts and really take their time in making sure they crossed every T and dotted every i, so as this guy or rather murderous creep will not escape justice. He also being a cop was something that had they not gotten studious, would have more than likely found a way to be the system.

Ha Bibi….Good morning to you my dear….yes…finally….I just hope they have enough on him to make it stick….that is my only fear….lots of hearsay sometimes cannot win a case….but sounds like the autopsy report should be enough….just why so long this man has gotten to walk around and display such disgust to the cameras is shocking….hope he gets his judgement day soon!

Good morning to you too! Hope you had as lovely a Mothers Day as I so enjoyed! Yep they indeed have gotten their duck in order to fully take this case to trial as is so imperative, because if they don’t nail him to the wall, they are going to watch him walk for two murders. Did you know he was slotted to take off on an early morning flight, the following morning to Nevada to film for a reality show? The authorities got wind of it so they waited until he left the house, the day before and out of the sight of the children to swarm his car and arrested him. Thank God someone had the good sense to exhume Kathleen Savio’s body otherwise, this case would have been dropped like a hot potato.

Ha Bibi….stupid media and tv networks who even gave this creep the time of day.  He is laughing at the system and is so sure they have nothing on him….he had better not walk, is all I can say.  I just pray they find his last wife’s body during the trial so they can get him for that murder also…..this guy rates right up there with oj simpson and scott peterson….all scumbags!

Mother’s Day was beautiful….Both daughters live out of state, but the phone calls and cards were just great.  See them in two weeks…so we can celebrate it then!  Glad you had a lovely one too…Mother’s Day is such a beautiful holiday….one of my favorites!   :-)

Most on Fox news, if not all thought this guy a scumbag as well. And, Geraldo really had it in for him! I’m hoping the same thing…..Find Stacy’s body NOW so he’s nailed for that one also. But , do keep in mind that Chicago just passed a law, for this very reaso that stipulates that heresay is now admissible under certain circumstances as in this case, Stacy’s sister and the pPastor of her church will be able to come into court and testify under that condition. Also due to the fact that Drew is/was a cop, they are well aware of the fact that of all people, this guy would certainly know how to dispose of a body and/or cover up a crime. So there is also the fact that he can still be charged for the murder of Stacy regardless of there being no body, and under circumstantial evidence due to the facts that Stacy was an individual who had a wonderful relationship with both her children and her family, thus being the perfect person that for leaving them, would not have been in her makeup.

Glad to here your day was lovely also! Both my babies flew in to be with me….And Hubby on Mothers day. Was SOOO excited! We speak on the phone almost daily, but as they both live out of State, it’s more difficult with their jobs, to get "away time". Next to Christmas and the surrounding Holiday’s, this too is a special day!

Sometimes a gut instinct ’knows’ the truth well ahead of the proof—-in this case—-he got away with the Savio murder because those investigating, in my opinion, refused to even consider the circumstances that normally sit in the gut of instinct…he was a cop, after all—-protect the brotherhood, mentality…….I am thrilled that he is finally being pushed off his pedestal of ‘immunity’…..

$20 million bail.  I get the feeling that he’ll somehow find a way to post it.  Maybe I’m just speaking through my own sense of apprehension as it is difficult not to be shaken by his dark energy.

I look forward to the day that this man is securely tucked away for good and out of the news.
