The Expert in Marlo Thomas's Life
In response to: Have you ever sought out the advice of an expert who truly changed you (in looks, career, life, etc.)?
I love to shop for books, stuff for the table — plates, glasses or those special little dishes to put an olive spread in. But I hate clothes shopping. That’s why my favorite expert is a stylist.

Greetings, Marlo. The wisest words in my life came from my mother and Jude. So-called advice experts rarely are, I’ve found.
I’ve started working for a new news/talk radio station in my hometown, Grand Rapids, and the station launches 17th August. I’ll be the primary reporter for 1340 WJRW-AM. Since Citadel owns the legendary 760 WJR in Detroit that can be heard in 38 states at night ("The Great Voice of the Great Lakes"), they decided to call the one in G.R. WJRW (as in WJR ‘West’). Since the 1340 frequency used to be an all-sports format, it’ll probably carry over the predominantly male listening audience. I hope that we can get a lot of women listening! Here’s a link to a story about it:
