One Reason Joan Ganz Cooney Doesn't Encourage Concentrating on Two Things at Once
In response to: Is multitasking something to move toward or away from?
When I was a child I used to listen to the radio while I did homework. My stepchildren used to watch television, talk to classmates on the phone and do their homework. I have no idea whether it’s good or bad. I wouldn’t encourage it because I know excellence demands concentration, but it will go on no matter what I think.

Dear Ms. Ganz Cooney,
Our children and grandchildren move at a greater speed in time by the nature of the world they are born into.
I work to remind my children that they need also to find time for peace in each day.
My eldest was not raised by me I take no responsibility for his behavior, and my son who I did raise, knows and will find his path, though he’s facing and had faced challenges, he also knows truth in focus and hard work. …and he does know respect, he just has to learn how to respect himself.
My daughter is a light in my world and is beginning to understand truth, respect, and unconditional love.
I am grateful to be alive at this moment in history…for there is so much history being made…
Always remember to find enjoyment each day, and your word will be filled with love.
That’d be a key to me.

Again…pardon my typo, as I am a human being. Not a machine.

Trying this again _
In my opinion, there is no true multitasking. Tossing many balls in the air and trying to keep them there is not easy and just saying we can multi anything well doesn’t make it happen. It’s not that it cannot be done - just nothing gets done well. After working at it, and observing others I see that it is another of the falsehoods propagated by those who do not want to hire another worker.
