Suburban Philadelphia Mom Calls 911 From Car Trunk, Says She and Daughter Were Abducted (Video)

There’s a story of abduction, mystery and heartbreak coming out of Philadelphia today.
Bonnie Sweeten and her daughter, Julia Rakoczy, 9, are believed to have been kidnapped. Sweeten called 9-1-1 Tuesday and said she was in the trunk of a Cadillac driven by two black men, who allegedly abducted her when she got out of her car after a minor accident in Bucks County. She told authorities she believed little Julia was still in her vehicle, which was later found in Center City near the cell-phone tower that picked up Sweeten’s emergency call, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer. Other reports say Julia, for whom an amber alert has been issued, was also taken. The FBI is investigating a number of leads.
Agent JJ Klaver said Sweeten’s cell-phone signal was lost in the area of the 200 block of South 12th Street in center city Philadelphia — more than 20 miles away from the scene of the reported accident, reports KYW Newsradio. NBC News says there was more than one cell-phone call made to police.
"We’ve been in contact with a lot of people. I believe that she’s estranged from her husband [Richard Sweeten], so we are talking to a lot of different people to try and get as much information as we can about where she and her daughter may be," Klaver said.
Anthony Rakoczy and Sweeten were divorced in May 2003 but they have a good relationship; Sweeten has since remarried. Anthony told MSNBC this morning that neither he nor Sweeten have any known enemies, and appealed to the alleged kidnappers to let his loved ones go.
"I have no clue why this is happening. I have no idea whatsoever," Mr. Rakoczy tearfully told MSNBC. "I thought this wasn’t real. I just couldn’t believe it."
Julia Rakoczy was described as being 4’ 1" with long brown hair, blue eyes and a dime-sized birthmark on her forehead, while Sweeten is 5’ 11" tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Philadelphia FBI office at (215) 418-4000 or 9-1-1. A Facebook group named "Concerned Citizens for the safe return of Bonnie Sweeten and Julia Rakoczy" has been formed.
"Please help to bring Bonnie and Julia home safely to their family," the site says. "Let’s keep Bonnie, Julia and their entire family in our prayers."

Supposedly she had domestic and money problems…she has been arrested. She took over $12,000 and boarded a plane to Orlando with her daughter. She may have taken money from a charity for a lawyer she was working for. Breaking news is happening on Greta now.
I read about the hoax on ABC news. It made me angry that Bonnie Sweeten would do such a thing. A lot of manpower and resources went into the search for a nonexistant abduction. In the mean time there were probably legitimate emergencies that did not get attention because of her foolishness.
