I agree with you Whoopie. I think if as much effort was given to bringing all thoughts and beliefs to a level of acceptance and appreciation, rather than just tolerance, we could have a more peaceful world rather than trying to find the answers through politics or separation of beliefs. That is my vision of a better world, and where I put my energy in what I do.

I also agree with you Whoopie. I have been fortunate to have been exposed to great diversity my entire life. I am a virtual sponge, and lust for new information. The more we learn, the more we know…at least that is my philosophy. CA

Whoopie, just wanted to let you know, I think you are the most level headed and intelligent person on The View.  Never enjoyed the show as much as when you are there.  Your views are fair to all religions, polictics and all general topics.  Thank you for joining The View. Also, will you and Joy be going any more appearances together in the near future, hopefully in New Jersey?

With much admiration and love,

Carol, NJ

Hello Whoopie, I’m an avid fan of yours. My fav movie of yours was shot in its entirety in Africa where you said this line; "All I want are peaceful days and loving nights."  Do you remember what the title was?

Anyway, are you and Joy Behar planning a gig here in Los Angeles soon?

I would like be able to able to watch one of your shows.

Are you perhaps thinking of "Sarafina", LS?  I have copies of all of Whoopi’s movies (I think!), that one being one of my favourites (most favourite is "The Long Walk Home").  Someone later in the comments said her comment was really "no comment".  I think if listened to this woman at length…over a period of years…he might realise that this pretty much sums Whoopi up.  I gave up watching The View some years ago…until Whoopi Goldberg was given the moderator spot.  Now I don’t miss it (unless she happens not to be on)  I consider myself so privileged in my life…living in and enjoying various countries and cultures, adopting many of the respective traditions, customs, beliefs to meld with those with which I was raised so Whoopi’s answer makes perfect sense to me.

I agree with your outlook on this topic Whoopie!  I watch The View every day and really only since you joined the panel.  I think you have brought a very good BASE to the show and I admire your frankness - especially in response to comments about your appearance/attire!  GOOD FOR YOU!  I feel like you do on that - this is "ME" take it, leave it, or accept it and move on!  LOL  We also have a love of horses in common!  I work as a groom on a Standard Bred breeding farm in Ferndale, NY!  You are welcome to come by and see all our babies ANY TIME!  :)  If you ever need help or advice with your horses - contact me and I would pleased to help!  You will also love that all of our mares are RESCUES and now living good healthy lives!  Have 2 new foals coming home this week!

I enjoy getting to know people even if it someone standing in line in front of me in the grocery store.  It is amazing what you learn in these lines. If I didn’t keep an open mind and heart how would I learn? Who am I to judge anyone else?  I wasn’t put on this great, wonderful earth for that purpose.

Whoopi’s comment says a LOT.  It defines her as an intelligent, non-judgmental, and curious emotionally mature woman who doesn’t need to put down other people’s race, religion, or politics to feel important or superior.  Whoopi respects everyone and thus, earns everyone’s respect.  The brevity of her response is admirable.

God Day To You and Everyone,

Ditto on,  It’s All Good, which is also a wonderful book by Walter Starsky. I believe that no one got it all right or all wrong. We are to take the Good from all and leave the rest behind. Together we can weave a tapestry of True Freedom for All.

Check out this new Toy, MIND FLEX  that is do to release in Dec. This is an exciting tool to teach The Power Of Thought. The next generation will be a very powerful one…    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwGuOclij6k

Now that I am retired I have starting watching the view and I must say I like it now that Whoopi is on it.  She is very fair minded on so many issues and always makes it a point of respecting Elizabeth’s point of view as well.  I’m with you on this Whoopi and also want to know do you really read any of this.

In 1486, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola wrote about humans as the great miracle and the living chameleon. According to Pico, we are second only in god’s design to the angles and we have the ability to choose to be like the animals we are given stewardship over or we can strive to be more like god by knowing more, doing better, and working harder. He pointed out that we have free will and should use it wisely.

Human beings have far more in common than they have differences but we exploit those differences, judge them, rate them, and try to determine whose truth is best. With more than 20,000 different Christian sects in the world vehemently arguing about whether each is right or wrong, it is amazing they have wind left to criticize and judge anyone else’s belief system.

To me, the worst practitioners in the world are the hypocrites. Believe whatever you want to believe, that is your right, but for goodness sakes, walk your talk!
