wOw Scenes: The Ones We Love

Lesley Stahl, Joan Ganz Cooney and the wOw women show off their favorite memories with some of their favorite people.

Photo Essay

We all know one is not supposed to play favorites, but sometimes we can’t help ourselves! There are occasions on which a photo just captures the moment, the joy, the real love of family – or those we treat like family – and that picture takes a special place on our mantels … and in our hearts. Here, the wOw women share with us their favorite family photos. Take a look into the personal albums of Candice Bergen, Marlo Thomas, Sheila Nevins and more of the wowOwow women.

Each of these photos were absolutely adorable….and really fun to see. Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day.

My son called from Amsterdam after an all day bike ride and lunch out of the city and in the country and with some exciting [to me] news. He’s crazy about his Russian girlfriend with the Phd in museum science, they are looking for a place together and going to St. Petersburg at the end of the month for a week to meet her parents. She is fine with relocating if all works out to the So of France. He said to me, ‘I’m ready for the wife, house, dog, baby.’ Hot damn! As soon as my-moon-sun-and-stars-darling-son moves to Provence…so will I. I can get into the grandmere thing…! Very happy Mother’s Day news. I hope don’t jinx anything with telling my little secret here. He’s really ga-ga….so cute.

Yes, I agree, these were beautiful pictures of the WOW girls and families. As for your good news, Suzanne, congratulations! I’m happy for you. Please send me any tips on how to convince my son and daughter-in-law to make me a grandmere! I’ll be Nanny, Granny, whatever they want to call me. I’ll take any tips! But again, I send my best to you and your family!

These photos are great. The best family pictures are often the most candid - no posing, not the finest attire, but perfect love captured in a moment on film.
