Bruce Springsteen was born September 23, 1949, in Freehold, NJ. Among his famous albums are "Born to Run" (1975), "Born In the U.S.A." (1984), "Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band" (1986) and the Grammy Award-winning album "Tunnel of Love" (1987). Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. The following year he released "The Rising," which deals in part with the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks by terrorists on the United States. The album won three Grammy Awards in 2003, including best rock album and best rock song (“The Rising”).
