Arnold Schwarzenegger was born July 30, 1947, in Graz, Austria. The bodybuilder-turned-acting-star-turned governor of California ran as a Republican in 2003 in the California recall election that ousted the incumbent Democratic governor, Gray Davis. He was re-elected in a landslide in the 2006 elections. In his younger years he won the Mr. Universe title three times and the Mr. Olympia title seven times. In 1984 he sealed his most-signature sexy/scary role in the science fiction film "The Terminator." Some other action-adventure productions he starred in include "Predator" (1987), "Total Recall" (1990), "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991), "The Last Action Hero" (1993), "True Lies" (1994), "The 6th Day" (2000) and "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" (2003). In addition to action films, Schwarzenegger has starred in the comedies "Twins" (1988), "Kindergarten Cop" (1990), "Junior" (1994) and "Jingle All the Way" (1996).
