Charles Peete Rose Jr. was born January 5, 1942 in Henderson, NC. In 1972, he landed his first reporting job with New York's WPIX-TV. Fast forward to the 1980s and Rose found himself the host of his own show, "The Charlie Rose Show," originally broadcast on the NBC-owned station WRC-TV. Fast forward to the 1990s when Rose and his show took up shop at PBS, and in 1993 was syndicated nationally. And the rest was - and still today is making - history.
