Most shaving creams come in aerosol cans as well, but, luckily, there are several alternatives to shaving cream – and they may already be in your shower. Vegetable-based soap, body wash and even olive oil are all considered to be just as effective as shaving cream and safer on Mother Earth. Tom's Of Maine Natural Shave Cream, California North Pacific Foam Shaving Gel and EO Lavender Shave Foam are considered eco-friendly brands. Another green shaving tip: Forgo disposable razors or at least invest in a disposable razor sharpener -- so razors don’t pile up in landfills.
