Jane Wagner's desk, Los Angeles, CA: 'I love to be here. This place makes me feel more creative -- so you'd think I'd be more productive. Many ideas have taken flight here, never to be seen or heard from again. My desk is a piece of sculpture by Francois-Xavier LaLanne. The Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York recently had a show of vintage and contemporary pieces. I got this piece from Off the Wall here in Los Angeles. They always have the most wonderful treasures. The chair was originally at the Seattle World's Fair on the observation deck of the Space Needle. It has an ingenious mechanism that lets you twirl around in concentric circles which can bring about an alpha brain wave state. I can sit down and feel like a wise Sufi. Rumi would've loved this chair. The pencil (with teeth marks and eraser) is from the movie “The Incredible Shrinking Woman."'
