Avon Unveils Their Latest Fall Fashions

$34.99 (Avail September 7th) © Avon
wowOwow was on the scene at Avon’s Fall Fashion Preview and guess what we discovered there? A line of shirts and dresses called "Slimwear," with invisible, built-in Spanx-like slimming material!
The Slimwear line is a godsend for subtly smoothing real women’s curves and was one of many items debuted last week at Avon’s Summer, Fall & Holiday Market Day. The event, held in Rockefeller Center in New York City, introduced the company’s new line of clothes, stylish shoes and accessories for the end of summer and upcoming seasons. This sneak preview also showcased everything from jeweled sandals to coordinated holiday outfits and Avon’s debut line of children’s clothing.

Berry Mix Gift Set $19.99
Avon also has several items whose proceeds benefit the Avon Foundation for Women, whose mission is to "improve the lives of women, globally." The Foundation is the leading corporate supporter of the breast cancer cause. Profits also benefit Avon’s Speak Out Against Domestic Violence campaign, which helps raise money and awareness to global domestic violence. Knowing that your shopping dollars are going to such good causes should squash any buyer’s remorse, even during these economic times. We are thrilled to hear about anything called "Slim Wear" YAHOO, it is about time someone designed something that will help flatter the over 40 figure!! We will be interested to seeing the rest of the styles.
C’mon Avon- you can do better than that ! If you’re 17 and wearing this dress with a sense of irony, a bigger necklace and gold gladiator sandals maybe - but over 50 don’t we deserve something with a hint more sex appeal - control a little more along the lines of L’Wren Scott or Donna Karan ?
