Joan Ganz Cooney Was Struck by Catherine Zeta-Jones's Beauty

Joan Ganz Cooney
When Al Gore was running for president, Tina Brown and Harry Evans gave a party for him. When I walked into their living room, the first person I saw was Catherine Zeta-Jones. For a moment I couldn’t move. She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Needless to say, it was hard to focus on Al Gore after seeing such a sight.

Joan you are so right she is beautiful.  There are a lot of modern stars these days that are pretty but hard to find one that is so beautiful she takes your breath away.  I have to say my all time favorite star that I put in the beautiful category is Grace Kelly, then Scarlett O’Hara from gone with the wind.  Her name escapes me at the moment.  Also Paulina the model.  Behind them comes Liz Taylor, Sophia Loren & Maureen O’hara, Gene Tierney.  Zeta Jones is the only one in this past decade that I could say fits that category.  Grace Kelly is still my number one pick.

Barbara, Scarlett was Vivien Leigh, the British actress. How could I forget her? When I was a preteen, there was no one I wanted to look like more than her, with her kitten face and slanting eyes. I agree with all your choices. Grace Kelly—I did not mention her in my post but I remember seeing the Life (I think) photo with her coming out of the water, as I remember just head and neck…I thought that anyone who looked that good streaming wet with no makeup was incredible.

Thanks F Fox I loved that Movie when I was a young girl my Grandma took me to see it when they brought it back to the big screen at the RKO in 1059.  She was so beautiful.  Like I said today there are a lot of pretty girls but not the natural raw beauty that those woman had.  Angelina Jolie is not in that category but yet very very pretty.  The closest new stat of today would be Brooke Shields.  Even when she was younger I thought her to be quite beautiful.

She is beautiful inside as well as outside. I read Kirk Douglas’ blog at Myspace, he can’t say enough good about his daughter in law. I agree with him. :)
