Marlo Thomas, California Girl
In response to: Are you still a beach person? What beach phobias are you hiding?
I’m a California girl, and always will be. I love the beach. My favorite stretch of sand in the whole world is the western shore of Barbados. The water is as blue as Paul Newman’s eyes, and as warm as a hot tub. I could spend all day there – and usually do. (And, by the way, I wouldn’t call fear of sharks and jelly fish phobic!)

OUR LAST 3 KIDS WERE BORN IN CALIFORNIA AND I LOVED THE BEACH . BUT IF SAW A SHARK I WOULD SCREAM MY INSIDES OUTWARD.
OUR DAUGHTER WHO WAS BORN IN CALIFORNIA ( THE OTHER 2 ARE BOYS) GAVE BIRTH TO A LITTLE TINY THING THAT GREW UP - HAS 3 KIDS OF HER OWN AND THEY ARE ALL 5 BEACH ADDICTICTS I LOVE TO MISPELL THTA WORK . WE WENT TO THE BAHAMAS A COUPLE OF TIMES TO DIFFERENT SPOTS AND I SWEAR THAT WATER OVER THERE WAS SO UNBELIEVEABLE. SWIMMING WAS ONE OF MY THINGS WHEN I WAS A CHILD (WHICH NOW I AM A GREAT GRANDMA 11 TIMES. ) I STILL CRAVE THE OCEAN. I THINK ONCE BITEEN BY THE OCEAN YOU ARE HOOKED FOR LIFE.
