Michelle Obama is a fine first lady and a great representative of our country as such, Those of you who would criticize her or not accept her are doing to her what has not been done to other first ladies..criticizing her for no rational reason. All of our first ladies have been decent and good first ladies, no matter what their husband’s political affiliation. It is too bad that this is happening to her, as she is undeserving of any negative comments.
Mrs. Obama is a classy lady who will continue to represent this country well all over the world. She is intelligent, hard-working and shows great love for her family and somehow manages to make it look easy. She’s come a long way in her life and I admire her for all the things she’s accomplished. The POTUS and the FLOTUS make a lovely couple!
I am most interested in the quiet and unerring support which First Lady Michelle Obama gives to hr husband, children, family and the nation. She stpes lightly but firmly in this world, it seems. I would like to learn to do the same.
The only thing interesting about Michelle Obama is the inflation of her resume and accomplishments, only surpassed by the inflation of her husband. She is neither brilliant nor articulate - have you heard the woman speak? - nor beautiful, nor, God help us, graceful! Have you seen the woman walk? Truthfully, this adulation of this plain and ordinary woman smacks of condescending racism typical of the left.
No offense Sibelle, But a pretty face? I can recall quite a few First ladies in History who didn’t exactly have what one would call a pretty face, yet they were wonderful 1st Ladies. That comment sounds a bit shallow to me, but it’s your opinion and every body has one. :o)
But I do appreciate the role model that she and her husband are for people of color. There are so many bad role models out there in this culture now born from the ghetto rap fad, that it’s hard to find good role models for anyone!
She was born on the south-side of Chicago to a lower/middle class family (her dad worked at the city water plant while her mom stayed at home with her til high school), and with the help of her supportive family, she applied herself so well that she was able to graduate cum laude from Princeton, and then went on to get her J.D. from Harvard. She has managed to keep her body healthy and attractive, she dresses well, she has an equally smart husband and two lovely children.
And, instead of ignoring where she came from, she put back into her community - working for the city, and also for a non-profit organization that encouraged young people to work on social issues in non-profits and government agencies.
She’s a terrific role model. I’m not really interested in knowing tons, but she is the First Lady, and I’m glad that she is such a great role model for young people.

Carol,

I agree, not much if anything at all interests me about the woman, and i would rather have a pretty face to look at in a First Lady!
Hi Sibelle,
Opinions aren’t the only thing everybody has one of but I will leave that alone. lol ;o)
Heidi, LMAO. Sibelle is a big one.
She doesn’t interest me really.
